I'm only halfway through the Chiefs game but seeing CJ Mosley mimicking Pacheco after an 11 yard run make me want to puke. Mosely is an average player that gets paid like a superstar. Yeah yeah he's the leader of the defense but I can't wait until his slow, weak ass is off this team. What a waste of cap space.

Not sure I agree with you on this one. Moseley is the leader, even QW says the rely on him as a Defense. He made some great plays last night. And Pacheco angered me a lot last night with his taunting.

I was a big detractor since he sat out but he’s come back and played very well. The only inside linebackers worth the amount of money he makes are surefire HOF linebackers like Willis and Luke Kuechly.

However he’s a good player and an above average linebacker. Quincy’s been awesome this year though.

Its finally feeling like we are getting some value out of all the money we paid Mosley?

All fair takes but when I see what we pay him and so many times he's just out of the play it just irritates the shit out of me.

get through the whole game. of course he wasn't perfect by any means but overall he played really well he's a big reason mahomes only went for 200 yards and kelce was held in check.

    Is Mosley worth the contract?

i mean at the time of the contract sure. in hindsight, maybe not but it's hard to complain too much. he's the 6th highest paid Lber and he was 2nd team all pro last year and a pro bowler. so he's making the right amount of money for hi accomplishments.

people have a weird outlook because they only look at their teams in a bubble. The chargers for instance gave 82.5mil to JC jackson as the top free agent CB and he's been so awful he's been healthy inactive and also active with no snaps. he's in year 2 of that 5 year deal. i'd take mosley at 17mil a year over jackson at 16.5mil a year anyday.

He's overpaid and everyone knows that Guy is living off his past.

Mosley was pretty solid last night, he had a nose for the ball. Not sure if he was able to read Mahomes a little better than most others.

again not sure how you would quantify that. I think a player who makes all pro (top 4 at his position) should be paid like a top 5 player. he's number 4. the weird thing is though ILBs are not a very stacked position talentwise and the top 2 (smith and warner) are lighyears ahead of everyone else. I think trumaine edwards is overpaid. he makes more then mosley and is having a rough season after leaving the bills. learnard makes more and is 2nd highest paid and having a rough year too.

We've been down this road before. Let's agree to disagree.

i know but i'm not sure what your basis is on. football contracts are pure economics. it's all supply and demand. all pro players should be paid top 5 at their position. mahomes was underpaid after a few Qbs got new deals so KC gave him a raise.
typically players are only overpaid if they sign a new deal as a top player and then fail to produce at that level (galladay, JC jackson, trumaine johnson etc are prime examples) mosley is still performing at that level and running the D and being a team leader so I can't see why someone would see him as overpaid.

everything is relative, I mean technically I think every NFL player is overpaid. 50 mil a year to throw a football around is kinda insane but the economics are what they are

Mosley wasn’t worth the contract Mac gave him but keeping his contract was worth it vs eating a ton of dead money and downgrading the position.
