If he was smart, he'd refuse to play here anyway. I'd be shocked if the next "elite" QB we're in line to pick high in the draft didn't pull an Eli and refuse to come here.
It just may have come to that JV.. JD and Bob are desperate at this point to save Sack and at least give Kal EL hope he won't get smashed again if he decides to come back.
I've watched just two plays of the Panthers-Seahawks game and have seen more from Andy Dalton in two throws than I've seen from Wilson all season.
Jets are not tanking for a tackle - they also aren't tanking for a QB or anything else - they are trying to win they just don't know how to. This season was over the second Rodgers went down but Saleh knows he is on the hot seat and needs to show something and Hackett won't want to have an utterly abysmal first season as the Jets OC right after failing in Denver and much as we would like it no-one is going to instruct the team to lose because it would inevitably come out.
It is actually a plausible explanation but I think the simpler explanation is the Jets GM and CS are just so inept it kinda looks like they suck on purpose.
Thing is, the Jets are very adept at losing. They don't need to "TRY" to lose as they find ever more inventive ways to accomplish that. Thing is, there's no one in the building that could take advantage of the tank even if this team pulled one off successfully. They would fuck up the pick anyway.
Fuck this shit! I will not watch another game with Zack as the starter. I’m done. Sell the team Woody, you suck, this organization sucks! 52 years a Jets fan and nothing to show for it. I drank the kool aid again but no more. Joe Douglas is a fraud and the coach is a great defensive guy but he’s no head coach. New England was supposed to have a shitty O-line and they outplayed our so called great defense, Enough!
It is true - over the last decade only the Jags have more losses than the Jets and they never make the smart QB pick going for potential over production
The Jets aren't tanking, they're just incompetent. Everyone knew we needed to get a QB in as soon as Rogers went down. They didn't. Everyone knew we needed to make adjustments on D last week. They didn't. Everyone knows we need Ruckert on the field to block in the run game. They don't (one snap this week). Everyone can see Cook is cooked. They can't. Everyone saw that Brown was done. They didn't. It's mind boggling how bad this FO and coaching staff have been.
That's why it's important to really suck when there's a no brainer QB pick like Lawrence. Unfortunately the Jets couldn't even do that right, winning a meaningless game late in the season when they were in the driver's seat for the Lawrence pick.
If the Jets are tanking this season in order to improve the team for next year im all for it BUT if Saleh and JD were directly told they are getting a free pass this year in lieu of Rodgers injury I think it creates a huge moral hazard for this whole organization. Obviously we don't know what Rodgers wants but Rodgers did sign-up for Saleh as HC and JD as GM so in all likelihood he wouldn't want a complete shakeup next year. Its just tough this is happening in year 3. Not sure how many head coaches have had losing seasons there first 3 years and didn't get fired?
Mike White,Eli Moore, Berrios,Robby Chosen Anderson All cheap ex jets all did pretty solid jobs today, All would have been improvements on our rooster
We apparently can’t even tank correctly in a Covid/weird year. We had the solid of solids and still fucked it up. Henry “DUI” Riggs helped us out and still couldn’t put it together. What makes you think this organization will get it right this time?
will be???? He IS Actually an NFL quarterback. Zach is not an NFL quarterback. We saw the comparison last year when Jacksonville came to ny.
