This roster and coaching staff isn’t good. Rodgers might have been good enough to get this team 8 or 9 wins, but that’s it. Come January we will be happy we held on to lose this game and upset about what happens vs Bills. This coaching staff and QB are bad enough to get us a top 5 pick against this schedule. In a GOOD QB class. I am not bringing in Matt Ryan or Carson Wentz who might win a meaningless game or two. Let Zach do his job and lead the tank. We need a young QB to build around the young talent we already have. Plus the new QB will get a year to sit behind Rodgers. Screw Rodgers and “the locker room” This team is going nowhere until they find a long term answer at QB and the only way to do that is in the draft.
Not right now, but if we can lose at Denver and be 1-5 at the bye a lot of players will check out and you will see injuries, etc. Maybe not Caleb Williams bad, but top 5 pick very much in play. Remember Jax won their home opener in 2020 and then reeled off 16 straight to get Lawrence. I believe Zach and Saleh are that bad.
Except the majority of this roster is good. They were a playoff team last year with even just an average QB. They were SB contenders this season with Rodgers until 1999 part 2 happened again. Zach Wilson has been the death of this team since 2022.
I’ll never believe in losing for a purpose. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that there will likely be at minimum 5 first round QBs taken. The sad part is we likely need to replace 4/5 on the offensive line.
1-8 in last 9 games (going to be 1-9 after next week) says otherwise. They have more talent than they did in 2020, but Saleh is worse than Gase and Wilson is a lot worse than Darnold.
Just for him to get viciously assaulted every game by the by the untouched pass rush? No thank you. Last time we had a rookie QB who went far was Sanchez with arguably the best o-line at the time. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
The light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming Express called FA. We're gonna lose a few quality guys and knowing this Organization, we'll replace them with overpriced driftwood.
Winning is organizational. This one makes horrible decisions. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. And you will never be able to tell 50+ competitors to go out there and lose
the problem is: 1. we don't know how to evaluate qb talent 2. we don't know how to develop qb talent so lastly, all we do is waste qb talent. eventually they will refuse to be drafted by us, rightfully.
So try again or Hire new people and let them have a shot. That’s all you can do. Learn from your mistakes.
Sadly you're probably right, as is Jets tradition. We suck but we can't even fully embrace the suck when we need to for a top QB.
The Jets are Wile E Coyote and the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train driven by the roadrunner.
