You know that saying "that game got him/them fired" Pencil this one as the game that probably leads to some serious changes or get the conversation really going. The coaches are losing the players trust and confidence
Everything in that 2nd half is on Zach and the coaches. A winnable game that they let their quarterback lose
I honestly think JD and Saleh should be gone at this point. The Jets won't do it though because they're a spineless, brainless organization.
Get it right: Woody is the reason the team has wasted the last three seasons. End of story. All this other talk is people either really, really confused or pawns for ownership. WOODY, SELL THE TEAM!
You should rename this to “game that get you fired in a functional Organization”. Can’t wait until salehs post games conference where he makes excuses for Zach and praises the team for “battling”
Even Woody would have called at least one run on the second to last possession from midfield with two minutes of clock and multiple timeouts to go when your QB is struggling and your pass protection is garbage. This is all coaching and roster building.
It should lead to a firing tomorrow. But nobody's going anywhere for 2024 unless Rodgers decides to hang it up prior to January/February.
They let Zach go out there and he never threw to what the defense gave you for a GWG. It was so bad it has to be put on coaches
Agreed. At this point I feel decisions that are made are not in the best interest of the team. Both Saleh and JD. The main concern about Saleh is he is too nice, and it's showing with his refusal to bench not just bad performers... but worst in NFL performers. At that point it doesn't matter who is behind the person, they need to play JD, he's now two weeks late in getting a QB. Unless he pulls a trade and saves the time to get into NFL shape, this is becoming grounds for termination.
Either JD is an idiot for missing on Zach or he’s an idiot for missing on Saleh. Either way, he missed on one of two key parts of the team and has to be held to account on that. Then there is the issue of the O-line.
"I have played with some bad quarterbacks, and God bless them. But bruh...come on, before I get fired" -Bart Scott on SNY
Here's Saleh's quote from the presser, as per Connor Hughes: “It would help if we could help around him.” - Robert Saleh on Zach Wilson #Jets I'd fire Saleh for that statement alone.
And he'll continue riding him until the only way to keep the car moving is to drive it like in The Flintstones.
