Do you know how hard it is to have a passer rating in the 50s without throwing a pick? This is the shit you'd expect to see out of a receiver stepping in to play QB who last did it in his freshman year of college.
Man, I’ve seen this so many times with team over the years: the Jets are WAY more afraid of their own quarterback than the other team is. This shit about protecting his confidence and all that crap has to stop. If you’re not going to let him play or you don’t believe he can play put the other QB in and turn him loose. What the fuck is there to lose at this point
They have to put him out there due to his draft status, but if they let him throw, he's going to get exposed even more than he is not throwing the ball. There's a lot of journeyman Qb's who can play at a higher level than this... If the Jets had Minshew today, they are probably winning by 7.
This is the part that blows my mind. With rare exception, I've seen almost every single all-time great QB in this league get bench having games not half as bad as Zach is having today. I get Tim Boyle isn't John Unitas, but I'm not asking for Unitas. I'm saying I would not have Zach Wilson starting over any other backup, never mind starter, in this league. There is ZERO accountability at the QB position for this team. None.
Somehow we're only one score down. Are there any free agent QBs we can sign who are close enough that we can fly them into the stadium by the start of the fourth quarter?
