Players aside, this has to be the most predictable CS on earth... on both sides of the ball. Absolutely, no creativity, & no scheming to opponents weakness. It's the same everything, every week. .
The play calling is because they don't trust Zach. The "threat zone" of the Jets passing offense is 5 yards on either side of the line of scrimmage. Makes life pretty easy for a defense, especially when the quarterback has a lower football IQ than a rock. Of course, if you don't trust the quarterback to the extent that it hobbles operating something resembling an NFL offense, that means you don't play that quarterback. But, these are the New York Jets, where while the likes of almost every genuinely great QB has been been benched when they just didn't have it, Zach Wilson maintains the job by some seemingly royal decree. Would it kill this coaching staff to say, "If the QB sucks, we are going to take him out and play someone else"?
