Should Metlife be a hostile environment for a young QB, even if he makes early mistakes vs the Pats?

Perhaps drafting a QB that knows how to swim would be an improvement...

Zach Wilson will be playing in his 25th NFL game this Sunday. That's a really long leash. If you look around the league that is longer than most QBs that perform at his poor level get

In a strange twist of fate we should really be thanking Zach for just sucking the way he does. He could’ve done just well enough to convince JD that we should be giving him a Daniel Jones contract and tying ourselves to shittiness for years to come. It’s all perspective.

Yep.. Totally agree. We're dodging a bullet with Zach playing like Zach.

Actually it's not. It's less than 2 seasons. And discounting much of this experience because they were trying to make him something he's not, as well as all the other problems that interfered with his development, it's not like he had 25 games of stability.

I think these past few months working with Rodgers and Hackett has far more for his development than the previous 2 altogether. It shows in how he's played the first two games - not great, but with more confidence, mechanics, and accuracy. Yes, he still has a ways to go, and part of that will be showing that he can process everything quickly and not get rattled like he did at the end of the Cowboys game, but for the first 40 minutes of that game he looked pretty good against maybe the best defense in the league. Just because you and others refuse to acknowledge that doesn't mean Saleh & Co do.

But the leash is tightening up. I don't think they'll let him flounder and be less than mediocre or poor for the whole season. Fair or not, it's make or break time now for Zach, and he needs to prove himself.

It's all talk. If that's the case and miraculously he's the 1st young QB that Nathaniel Hackett ever fixed then it will show on the field. It is not though, it is just talk so far.

I think it's fairly obvious that Wilson isn't playing as badly as last year. I truly believe Rodgers has made an impression on him. I'm not saying he's a legit starting QB, but to say he hasn't fixed a few things like the short passes and better pocket awareness is just being obtuse.

He is doing better.... I honestly do not think any QB could perform with the horrendous oline that we have.

Perform well? Probably not. Perform better than Wilson? There are more than a few.

What’s obvious? He’s playing worse 155 yards per game, 2:1 int to td rate is worse than even his pathetic numbers. If anything he’s even playing worse, numbers don’t lie

Zach just played a game where he'd have had a higher passer rating spiking the ball on every attempt. The narrative that he's improved is wishful thinking.

What a waste of talent 2.5/3 of this team this could end up being. SMH. Success is organizational. This one basically proves that year after year.

They stink almost as much as the Jets, how about those patriots? They stink to but they will make Zach and Saleh their bitch, so will the giants.

I think the one engaged in wishful thinking is you. You so desperately want the Zach Wilson Experiment to be over, you'll say anything or make up anything to try and sell your POV. Who are you trying to convince?

listen I get it you want so desperately for your son Zachy to succeed that you will make any excuse possible and are obvlivous to the stats and the eye test. Only a mother would defend Zach Wilson at this point.
