like wasting 3 top 1st round draft picks on 3 consecutive busts and trading 2 2nds and a pick swap for a 40 year old who went down in 4 plays and makes a gazzilion dollars the next 2 years is any better? Jets just chose to spread the misery out
It was for moments like this that we did not resign Mike fn White. Can you even imagine if he was still on our roster? Jets fans would not let Zach Wilson make it through a single home game. The beer cans would be flying!
From Twitter: Mac Jones is the most pressured QB in the NFL so far, has had 2nd lowest time to throw of any QB this season, and is tied for the league lead in drops, yet is top 10 in •Touchdowns •Yards •Intended Air Yards •1st Downs • PFF Grade •On Target Throw % • Big Time Throw % Zach isn't the only problem but we need to stop making every excuse we can think of for him. If he was good he'd simply be good. If he were avg he would simply be avg.
I mean they missed on 2 first round picks (including first overall) in Manziel + sent OBrien is a really good OC. That can’t be discounted.
I'll give him that I just pointing out if the situation isn't PERFECT some fans use anything we an excuse for Zach. Other QBs have worse lines or skill players and still manage to out play him
Said it on pregame show. Also said Jets should make a move for Jameis Winston. Tony Gonzalez said it’s irresponsible to start Zach Wilson.
It's not a commentary on Wilson. It's a commentary on the front office and the coaching staff. Hey, if they are stupid enough to insist that Wilson is the best option available to the team, then it should cost them their jobs if the whole thing crashes and burns. Every single person affiliated with the Jets (the players, the fans, the media) knew Mike White is the better player, except for Douglas and Saleh and they are in charge and are smarter than everyone else so they get to make the decisions. Well, now they are living with the consequences of their decision. Bill Parcells went 8-8 with his kickoff team gunner playing QB (and his punter); no excuses.
