We need 9 more wins to earn a wild card birth. On paper the Patriots game looks like an easier chance for a win than KC. Even with a three game losing streak and a 1-1 record we would only have one loss in the division. It would be tough to dig out of that hole but we could do it. I wouldn't call it a must win game given how early it is in the season but a loss here would be painful. As Tyler Durden would say "it is only when you've lost everything that you are free to do anything". A loss to the Patriots, especially if followed by a loss to KC might get JD off his ass to bring in the talent needed to fix our biggest holes. Hitting bottom also means that Duane Brown, Laken Tomlinson, Connor McGovern, and Zack Wilson could potentially get benched. It could also mean that Hackett would be fired or demoted.
only way we win is if we have 4 takeaways and a punt return for a td and zach has less than 3 interceptions
Am I alone in thinking that if they lose on Sunday they’re probably not beating Denver in 2 weeks? That would mean they lose 6 straight (let’s face it, KC is gonna destroy this defense and Philly… lmao that’s gonna be a repeat of Dallas). I’ve already abandoned all hope of this team not embarrassing themselves this season
Playoffs?? PLAYOFFS? We're just trying to win a damn game!!! Couldn't help myself. James, I love ya baby, but this team isn't anywhere NEAR the playoffs! The 2023 NY Jets will be the luckiest bastards that ever walked the planet if they can pull out a 4 win season! That's just fact! I expect the team to get SHELLACKED by the Patriots. Oh, it'll be close until the defense hits minute 35 on the field and they get worn down. Then the Jets will make Mac Jones the 2nd coming of Tom Brady. I just hope, when they get tired, the defensive players do not get hurt.
Zach is the least of our problems at the moment. The coaching staff's screwy game plans and failure to make adjustments, Hackett's play calling, the lousy play of the OL, the failure of our D to cover receivers and/or tackle them, and the refs jobbing us on calls, all are having a bigger negative impact than how Zach is playing.
Ask Matt Stafford if lafleur is a shitty oc or ar if Hackett is a shitty oc. I mean sauce has 1 bad game people go off on him. Zach has 25 bad games people just keep making excuses. Mike white, josh Johnson and even Flacco all had good games under mlf yet Zach Wilson never had 1 go figure, let’s just keep blaming everyone but Zach, keep blaming the oc that a high school quarterback is handicapping his abilities to call the game
Boyle has 3 TDs, 8 INTs, and a passer rating in the 50s. So as bad as Zach is, I can't blame Saleh for playing him over Boyle.
I think fans need to come to grips with reality. There are no more big games because the season is over.
