Went to Stockholm in 2019 to kick off my 40th birthday celebration year , of all the coincidences I bumped in to a girl I graduated high school with who was there for work. We hung out all weekend and it was pretty cool to see Stockholm with someone you know. I later hung with my friend we call Palestinian Jay because he's Palestinian but lives in Uppsala. I met him playing poker when I lived in Taiwan. I was told by some Swedes I know in Vegas to try kebab pizza. Jay took me to the ghetto of Stockholm, like police no go zone area called Rinkeby-Kista. Walked in to the pizza place and it was like the old movies when the record scratches and every mofo in the place stares at you. The pizza was amazing and we had no problems, the owners thought it was a cool that a foreigner from Vegas was in their place.

If you do go to Stockholm definitely check out the Vasa Museum , it's incredible as is the photography museum

I'm an old fuck and I want to do one of those river cruises down like the Danube or Rhein... problem is I'm in my mid 40's and I'd be the youngest person on the cruise by 30 years

I haven't heard too many good things about Malmo like it's kind of boring but if there is one thing Sweden isn't short on it's attractive women and with the amount of immigrants that have settled in that area I'm guessing there are some dynamic foxes in Malmo

    Anybody want to join me?

We're going to Dublin, London, Munich, and Venice toward the end of next month. I'll miss the Jets/Pats and Jets/Chiefs games.

If you are in England for the Pats game, we have a Gang Green UK watch party in Leicester, which you're very welcome to attend. We have a king in our cathedral, too.

If you're in England, but don't fancy coming to Leicester, then get to the Hippodrome in London, always a good turn out of Jets fans there to watch the game.

    Enjoy your trip.

Sadly not. We might be moving house, so pennies need to be saved!

(And I'm going down to four days a week work, so I'm getting paid less! :))

I'm staying at Club Quarters Hotel Covent Garden Holborn 61 Lincoln Inn Fields in London. Do you know if there's a place nearby where I can watch the game? Thanks! I think Leicester is a couple of hours away?

Yes, as much as you'd be welcome, Leicester is s little too far to travel.

Your best bedt in London is the Hippodrome. I'll mention you on a UK Jets whatsapp group as they are asking for numbers.

My wife is Japanese so I have spent quite a bit of time in Japan... what exactly are you looking to do and how much time will you have? It has a little something for everyone but a place a bit off the tourist radar is Yamanashi Prefecture. We stayed in a place called Kawaguchiko which has a massive lake that is at the base of Mt Fuji. There are also hot springs in the area and there is a temple at the top of a mountain that provides some incredible views of Fujisan

If you are really looking to do something non touristy head to Izu, it's about a 2 hour train ride south of Tokyo but it's a peninsula that has waterfalls , mountains and straddles the pacific on one side so again some pretty incredible views. You'll find almost no tourists there

I know Tokyo and Yokohama really well so I can give you lots of recommendations to do in that area, I am a big fan of Osaka and of course Kyoto is a must but you can visit a Kyoto knockoff outside Tokyo called Kamakura. It was an important city during the Edo period and has a really cool temple with a massive bamboo forest in it as well as another temple with a massive buddha statue. I haven't been yet but I hear good things about a place called Nikko and it's the opposite direction of Kyoto from Tokyo but Matsushima Bay in Miyagi is one of the most beautiful places in the country

I should mention that both my maternal great-grandparents were from Collesano. They came to America in 1898 and had all their children, I e if which was my maternal grandmother. I'm going to be spending a week in Taormina but I'm planning a day trip to visit their birth place. I'm very excited.
