Grow up. He played bad in the second half but we were down two scores+ most of the game with a bad game plan, no running game and an absolutely awful offensive line.
New England up next and not a back up QB in sight. Looking more and more like last season where Zach was inexplicably not pulled after a miserable first half at Foxboro.
To me the last ten minutes don't count. The game was lost so if were ever going to set Zach loose with no real consequences this was the time. We were already being outcoached but at the end of the game the Cowboys and their crazy good pass rush knew we were going to pass every time. There is a strong case against Zach as our QB of the present or future but crying about the last two INTs is not it.
He sucks and he’s not miles ahead of last year but meh they got waxed all around. They had 37 snaps from scrimmage on offense and ran the ball ten total times excluding Wilson for 24 yards and that includes a fumble lost by Cook. Every aspect of the Jets were terrible today. Zach Wilson has a dozen of other games to point to why he sucks. Let’s pass the blame around today.
The last 2 seasons don't count either, lets just judge him from when he finally has a good full game. 25 starts shouldn't be enough to evaluate him.
I'm in no way defending him but it felt like from very early on, he got absolutely no help from the sideline. We just quit on the run very early and lining up with an empty backfield on every 1st down (that's how I remember it anyway) just fed him like a lamb to the slaughter. The fundamental line to coaching is simply to ensure you don't make things harder for your players then you need to, and it just felt like our staff where making ut much harder then it needed to be. ZW needs to go but he is probably not the only one tbh
Exactly what we shouldn’t have done. Line him up in shotgun with no runningback or tightend to chip and let him figure it out. Absolutely dreadful coaching.
Let's not forget some of the passing yards we're garbage passes. He should have been benched in the 4th quarter
It won't really go till he has 2 yards in the 2nd half vs Ne next week, if you think he was bad against Dallas in the 2nd half wait until Bellichek gets a hold of him.
Go back and look at my posts. I have been very critical of Zach. Right now he is all we really have to work with. There were many QBs we had to choose from in the off-season and we decided to go all in on Rodgers. We also have Rodgers under contract next season. Who is out there that we can realistically get that is going to move the needle? Instead of shooting our wad on a mediocre QB wouldn't we be better off fixing the offensive line?
Todays loss is on brown and oline, not zw. Behind this ol don’t think rodgers would’ve had better #s. They made one dimensional very quickly and put the ball in off’s hand. if sauce gets pick 6, it is a very different ball game as we don’t need to abandon the run
It's possible to do both. And a mediocre QB would be a big upgrade over what we currently have. If we're only allowed to bring in one player, it should be a QB, and we should reshuffle the OL with Brown out of the starting lineup to at least make it a bit better. But signing someone like Wentz off the street shouldn't impact our ability to also get an OT.
Wilson isn't good but he was far from the primary problem this game, despite the pick-palooza at the end.
