Lets face it. Nobody we can trade for is going to be the level we was expecting from Rodgers. He is a repeat MVP, so nothing comes close. Where does that leave us? 1. Trade for another QB who is a bit better than Wilson? its not a guarantee and then what was ever the point of keeping Zach. I think we need to ride this train and see where it takes us. 2. Give up? dump some of the older players in trade for pick. Keep our young players. Signing Cook seems a waste now, Hall has got it. Lazard and Cobb just stunt us playing younger players? or do we keep them all to give Zach a cast around him? 3. Its so tiring being a jets fan. its like we cant have nice things. 4 plays!!!! 4 effing plays!!! totally gutting. I was still in last night, support the lads. we won. Was a nice thrilling victory brought on my a backs to the wall feeling for the players. But can they do it every week? I don't think so. Realism has set in.
Perfect! We stop whining and go into Dallas and beat their asses helmet on helmet. Run the ball down their throats, make smart quick throws, make them pay a price for every yard they get, and put Dak on his ass 5 or 6 times. That’s what we do now.
To answer the OP.........miss the playoffs 13 years straight, blow it all up and start the next round of terrible decisions all over again, which will set us back 3-5 years as Rodgers wisely decides we really ARE a cursed SOJ franchise and rides off into the sunset with his random hotties, fat bank account and psychedelic drugs.
Dallas is a very good team, and we were playing in their place. With a mediocre QB and a non-turnstile at LT, we wouldn't have beaten Dallas today, but we would have played them closer, and going forward, we'd beat enough New England-level teams to make the playoffs.
Game 2 is over. Watch the film. Make adjustments. Re-adjust the OL a little. Focus on NE. And get back to ball control .
Go all in for next season. Trade veterans that we picked up for this year. Build off the youth and hopefully go again next season. ZW is done
