I absolutely believe Rodgers suits up again in the green and white next year. Zach will take the Jets into the playoffs this year. Then Aaron will come back next season finish the job and bring that beautiful trophy to Florham Park.

I think so unless the rehab goes bad or that Zach is the real deal! Both are doubtful.

i am broadly with you except for it to be a truly Jets season he will last until about week 10, the Jets will be 7-3 and looking great then he will get injured, the Jets limp on to a 9-8 finish and just miss the playoffs

I just have a gut feeling he will not come back from this. It was such a cock punch. After all the anticipation, all the hype... four fucking plays. In my 40th season of supporting the Jets, I wasn't even surprised when it happened. I just sat there and thought, 'of course'.

I posted more or less the same thing just now in another thread - after so long you just always expect the worst (especially when it comes to QBs) and 99% of the time it is what happens

I honestly don’t know if I even care at the moment. Right now I find the situation embarrassing as a fan.

I skipped hard knocks and paid almost no attention to camp/preseason. Had my tickets for Monday night since shortly after they signed him. When my wife and I saw him on the promotional materials for the game on Monday we both thought he looked like a burnt out old man.

Freak injury or not, Rodgers never gave me the “eat, sleep, and breathe the game” that Brady did, but he goes on vision quests and shit so it’s all good I guess.

And Brady goes to every award show and has videos of jumping off cliffs while on vacation. Who cares if AR is going away for 5 days. What kind of take is this? It just sounds like you hated the AR move from the start.

I didn’t hate the move, and it sounds like you’re just looking for drama.

I don’t think he’s going to want his career to end that way, and he’s obviously not playing anywhere else.

    I think he’ll be back

Not at all. I’m just curious why it matters if AR went on a darkness retreat for 5 days? You used that as an example of why AR doesn’t care about football when compared to Tom who has gone to fashion shows, award shows, and multiple vacations with Giselle in the past.

    I think he plays.

Should start throwing and working out by the spring.

Achilles surgeries are relatively "easy" and with modern medicine, the healing time is less and more reliable.

I just can't see him going out like this.

I think he will come back as long as he beats out Wilson in TC next year ;)

Rodgers is a far better player than Bell.

hes also far older than Bell which I believe is MUCH more significant. Bell was 27 when he came back vs Rodgers who will be 41 next Dec. Not to mention Bell wasnt coming back from a torn acl.

I'm keeping my eye on what Rodgers does for the rest of the season after he's back on his feet after surgery.

If he's fully involved at the facility and fully engaged on the sidelines during games, I think he'll be back next year.

If, on the other hand, he disappears, I think he'll retire.
