well your small window is limited. There's a reason why Rodgers talk is everywhere.. on TV, radio, etc. He is a beloved QB.
Some reactions to yesterday's games. What do I know but here goes. Greg Van Roten starts for the Raiders and they won. I guess he's not so bad. The Steelers everyone's darling are only as good as a shaky Kenny Pickett. The Pats are just ok. The Eagles had a big lead and it's hard to manage that sometimes. NY media loves the Giants but after yesterday's beat down they will take it personally. The Dolphins are fun but San Diego doesn't defend very well. Russell Wilson is still afraid of getting hit. If the Giants don't move beyond Daniel Jones as a running back the franchise is in real trouble. Go Jets!
The Jets should really try to ram the ball down the Bills throats especially when Rousseau and Floyd are in there. The Bills are small on the edge when they’re in there and small at linebacker in all packages.
oh hell yeah. I remember last year the Jets got the ball 17-17 deep in own end and ran the ball seemingly a hundred times to win the game 20-17. that was with James Robinson and Michael Carter primarily. --- We line up with Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook tonight
Only because you don't want it to be. I'm not even exaggerating, you're the only person I've even seen imply that Aaron Rodgers is beloved by people outside the Jets fanbase and a portion of the Packers fanbase. And Im fine with it. We all hated Brady for a reason. It's nice to have a QB that people hate for similar reasons (football reasons at least).
Beloved? Is this a joke? I'm not busting balls but this is just an irrational take. GB fans used to love him and I'm sure some still do (but then again he took a pay cut for the Jets and never did for GB). Most Jets fans love him now. After that he's the guy that lied about getting a COVID vaccine, the guy who blames everyone but himself when his team loses and the guy who is a self centered prick. But yeah. He's beloved.
A few observations as I see it for the the coming season. 1. Jets defense will need to step up, at least initially, because it will take the offense some time to get in sync. 2. There aren't many run stuffing big bodies on the Jets D. Vulnerability to the run could be a problem. 3. Not much confidence in Jet backup QBs. Could be a long season (meaning bad) if Rodgers goes down to injury. That's the bad news, the good. 1. Jets probably have the deepest roster in NFL. Should be able to beat any team and that includes the Chiefs and Eagles, neither of which looked that formidable in their openers.
And we are going into the season healthy. We also have a solid Tight End room... which should take some of the load off the wide-outs.
The Jets also need to manage emotions early tonight. Should be a packed house and loud crowd. A lot of energy because it’s 9/11. Don’t get dumb penalties or over run plays.
I think they are already in trouble......not so much the blowout - everything that could go wrong did. It happens. The problem was Daboll leaving Jones in to take an absolute pounding in a blowout. It was a pathetic sight. Not only did he risk injury to his starting QB but I'm sure that turned a few heads in the locker-room....
OMG I'm losing it with the waiting. I'm on my couch waiting for the kids to come home so I can see them for a minute, and head out.
Looking forward to sitting down with some sushi, placing some prop bets... and watching us kick the Bills collective ass. This is the way...
