Anyone else have Spectrum? They shut down all Disney owned channels which includes ESPN/ABC. Figures right on time for the Jets game.
Any resident meteorologists here? Whenever I’m going to a big game thats what I obsess about one week out
The Jets are due for a win against the Bills in week one. Sean McDermott is 3-0 vs the Jets in season openers. 2017 21-12 in Buffalo 2019 17-16 in East Rutherford 2020 27-17 in Buffalo
Starting to feel really good about this game. - Allen was abysmal against us through the air last year 34/61 55% comp 176 YPG 1 TD passing / 2 INTs He killed us on the ground with his legs though so obviously that should be a sticking point to the D this year. We will be better at safety and I think our pass rush is better than last years. JJ vs Spencer Brown needs to be a coming out party for JJ. Show us why we traded up to get you. If he can cause havoc early and we can keep the Bills in 3rd and 8s all day, I think we will be fine. I doubt Allen really tests Sauce or Reed so I expect to see a lot of Knox, Kinkaid, and Cook. Last year in the Buffalo loss -- 1) Mims + Berrios combined for 8 targets and Bam Knight had 20 carries. None of which are on the team anymore 2) As bad as the O was, the Bills had a very hard time covering GW who had nearly 100 yards in both games with a wet noodle in zach, a corpse of Joe Flacco, and Mike White with ribs made of tissue paper throwing him the ball 3) We also didn't have our best OL in AVT + no Hall (in either game) We have AVT back + the return of Hall/Cook. We just match up very, very well vs them. We showed we can beat them at home which will surely carry some weight and meaning to the guys who were here last year. TLDR - Key to the game IMO: Jermaine Johnson coming out party. EDIT - Also 71% of the public is on Buffalo -2 or -2.5. Love that b/c the public freaking stinks.
I could see us running more 3 safety looks with Adams, Whitehead, and Amos. It'll be interesting to see the defensive gameplan but I imagine it'll be similar to both games last year. Try to get home with 4 and make Allen beat you with his accuracy. While we kinda know what to expect with the defense, it's the exact opposite with the offense. I have no clue what to expect. What's the timeshare with Breece and Dalvin look like early in the season? How balanced do we plan on being between run/pass? Will the OL look competent against a good front with minimal time/reps together? Lots of uncertainty surrounding the offense. Monday night is gonna be a battle. I'm just glad the season is basically here.
Good call on the 3 safety looks since they will probably attack us with TEs / RBs rather than go after Sauce/Diggs. Maybe Adams comes away with one since Allen is absolutely prone to throw you one, just need to catch it. We are super fortunate that Miller isn't playing in this game. He is probably the best pass rusher on both teams, but we may have the better unit from head to toe. I think 40/40/20 in regards to touches for Breece Cook and Carter.

Pretty late in the week to get an injury? Tomorrow is the day to watch since that is the normal Wednesday practice since we play Monday
So Hyde practiced and McDermott is yet again clueless what’s going on with his team. Remember at OTAs when he said diggs wasn’t there and diggs was there. McDermott also said he’s going to be calling plays on D
That is false. Hyde did practice today. Sal Capaccio on X: "A pleasant surprise. Bills safety Micah Hyde is, indeed, practicing today. Bills won’t release an official injury report today since game is on Monday. Here’s some video of Hyde: https://t.co/61L9V616dy" / X (twitter.com)
This game should set the tone for the season. If we look really good and win easily... the Jets are contenders! If we look like a bunch of slapdicks then all hope is lost! I'm taking the Jets to win...
