I vote Jets! Probably will sleep through the second half unless the Jets crush the Jills and Zach takes over 3rd or 4th Qtr. For that I will ask my lovely wife to kick me awake.
First time I opened this thread and it's 3am on the opening night if my LDW bender. Amazing. I'm pumped for this game. I really feel like Buffalo takes a step back this year. They are still kings of the division, so this game is super important -even though it's week 1. Jets are relatively healthy. I don't see why they can't win this game. I would buy half a pint and bet +3 and not loose any sleep over it.
When I close my eyes and allow my mind to drift... I see us whomping the Bills. Our pass rush wreaks havoc and Josh Allen is under duress all night.
The DL is gonna have to be somewhat cautious to keep Josh from scrambling. I think we dedicate a spy on him as well but I don't see any of our LB up to the task. We're probably in nickel D most of the time. On the plus side for us is that the Bills RB's do not have a lot of experience catching the ball--obviously they're gonna try to get Cook more involved this year as a receiver. We got to cover him out of the backfield and again I don't see our LB up to that task. Buffalo has a rookie TE so not too worried about him for this game--but Knox is going to have to be blanketed which I predict we will with a LB and a S for the most part. IMO the 2 areas that are exploitable on our D is Cook out of the backfield and Allen scrambling.
I believe the Bills take a slight step back as well…..it’s something I just sense. The game won’t be a blowout but I see the Jets hanging on by anywhere from 3-10 points ….
Watch out for Kincaid as a slot receiver. I think he’ll give most defenses problems for obvious reasons. The bills purposely didn’t use him in the preseason games, but there’s some practice videos out there and he was heavily used and moves like a receiver. His breaks out of the slot are really difficult to cover. Other than that, I don’t think there’s anything different about the bills offense this year. Maybe a healthy Gabe Davis makes a difference. Who knows
The bills will not take a step back. They have a much better roster. The reason the AFCE is much more competitive (and why the bills may not win the division) is because the jets and dolphins are taking massive steps forward, there’s a difference.
Ya--he has some potential--just not too worried in his 1st nfl game but he's def a young guy to watch this season.
