Trade value feels right and $1M this year, $5M in '24 isn't going to screw your cap. What seems strange to me is that you'd have to assume that 'ideal'/Normal plan in Dallas is that Dak is healthy and playing all year and that they're good enough to make the post season again. In that scenario you can't see Lance getting any kind of field time that would make picking his 5th year option up at the end of the year. If they fall short of Jerry's expectations and he wants to 'reboot' with Lance then Dak is still sitting pretty with a no-trade clause and a massive cap hit. Basically I'm not seeing any kind of scenario outside injury where Trey Lance sees any game time before '25 when he's now 5 years removed from being a (FCS) starter.
