My cousin (who's more of a casual JETS fan (hockey and baseball are his 1&2 sports) texts me after the signing. "So they have 2 good backs now?" my response was.. "no, 3 "
Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero): New Jersey swap: Dalvin Cook is going back to his old No. 33 with the #Jets, per his agent Zac Hiller. Time for me to dust off my Stealth Black Jamal Adams jersey and put some tape over the name! haha
If I’m reading it right, it’s really a 7M deal, providing no suspension. Less if there is one. In terms of the escalatiors, I don’t see homeslice getting 1200 rushing, 1500 all purpose, and winning a Super Bowl. Especially in a committee. But more power to him if those things happen, 1.6M very well spent in that event.
Not sure what this point really means: "The money tied to him not being on the reserve/suspended list", but looks like injury reserve protection as well, since he just had shoulder surgery.
I’m not entirely clear on the existing injury front, but I think Cook is protected in event injured while with the Jets. From yahoo sports: “Then, the deal ties $4.72 million to Cook being on the 53-man roster, active or inactive, or the injured reserve list or the reserve/physically unable to perform list. It's paid out in 18 installments, at $277,647.06 per week. (The reference to Cook being on the PUP list apparently accounts for the possibility that he won't pass a physical before the roster is reduced to 53 players on August 29.)”
I hope he gets all of it. Edit: I expect Rodgers to miss 4-6 games this year with the team needing to win without him (maybe even a playoff game or more), and that means running the hell out of the rock. Both Cook and Hall will eat.
I hope he gets all of them. They are pretty lofty team friendly escalators, would be the best 1.6M ever spent.
Damn you byz, I’m now getting flashbacks of other years I fully bought in. bam,Testaverde IR, Pennington IR, Pennington IR again, Ironman Favre injury, Kris Jenkins IR…..we are cursed during our windows.
Increasing fonts and enhancing hues are used to correspond (item-by-item) to specific points of contention on a point-by-point basis vs. those who have a penchant for goal post shifting...capieche? Bottom line: I called out a violent abuser. You on the other have went to bat in defense of a woman-beating abuser by insisting he's an unfairly targeted goody shoes and since it's your psychological makeup that's preventing you from acknowledging that fact that's your problem and a personal one at that--not mine. Look, like I previously suggested: in the interest of politely putting this to bed let's just agree to disagree, ok?. You go to bat for a guy most likely to 'take a bat' to a woman and I'll call that same person out for what they are (note: their words below not mine): https://www.nfl.com/news/dalvin-coo...awsuit-vikings-rb-denies-claims-through-attor Photos included within the lawsuit show Trimble's face bloodied. There is also a screen shot of a social media conversation in which Trimble writes, "Dalvin My [sic] face is so messed up I probably won't even get to go see my family for thanksgiving [sic]." Cook replied: "And I'm sorry for that! But the situation just got out of hand from the jump." .
Unfortunately, you have boggled everything you wrote with so many font and color changes it is necessary to use a different color, green in this case, to point out words you write that are entirely untrue and are a product of your imagination, not anything I wrote. I never claimed Cook was a "goody shoes" (sic) or a boy scout or altar boy, you completely fabricated that; it's too bad for you that you do not understand the difference but this is not the place for lies. The guy you called out has been convicted of nothing and has been exonerated by a jury. You are entitled to your opinion, but that's all it is - an opinion, and one based on emotion, not facts. You choose to base your opinions on unsupportable claims from those standing to gain and their lawyers, I rely on the law and the facts. That truth never changes regardless of how many times you post it. As you said, I am very content with having an opinion different than yours - wouldn't have it any other way in this case.
Goal post shifting again? . . Please, stay on point. While your motive was to prove someone wrong and unfairly jumping the gun on Cook by calling him an abuser my point was and remains the same: I called out Cook's violent woman-abusing history and by extension James Winston and the (at the time) Fla. State's cover-it-up, gender-abusive 'culture'. As it turned out, Cook's history includes smacking the daylights out of women and no snooty, uppity "you don't understand" admonitions of yours can change that fact (though I do find the self-righteous bombast delightfully entertaining--and thank you btw!). Inflated ego, self-absorbed nature, whatever....while I acknowledge that Cook's own abusive nature's gotta be a bitter "I was wrong" pill to swallow it also would be the right thing to do and I think you're a good enough person to realize that yourself. Now could you please be nice and stop insulting me for defending his battered girlfriend(s). Don't be a mad-hatter defending wife-batterers. Believe me, you'll feel better for it Ralebird. Peace... and out.
On-point. Cook will allow Bryce to fully heal and the reduced workload will be synergistically beneficial for both. P.S. I wanna see the Univ. Pitt rook Izzy bust another tonight. Kid's fun to watch : )
