I like how Rodgers is being patient with the OL development. I hope he feels the same week one when Matt Milano is in his grill all game...
Agreed…I think LB and S depth are question marks for sure, but I think the strong DL and CB group can still carry the D To me, the biggest single issue for us, and the key to a successful playoff season, will be the OL
Per Pro Football Focus: Jason Peters played in 10 games last year for the Cowboys - 235 snaps, no penalties, one sack allowed. Overall rating 70.3. A season veteran and a solid depth piece.
I don't love an offensive lineman coming off a hip injury. Especially at 40+ . I was told once that hip injuries almost always more serious than what is diagnosed and you think about how an OLmen gets bent and falls into piles, I dont see Peters lasting too many games unfortunately I dont want to see a repeat of Ryan Kalil, bringing in damaged goods (another genius Joe Douglas move)
With AVT playing LT and Becton playing RT I think we should be fine this year as long as everyone can stay healthy.
Speaking of Brown, has there been any update on when he may come off the PUP? The most recent stuff I can find is from like a month ago with Saleh saying "sooner rather than later" or some shit like that.
Making Milano cookies, Pepperidge Farm remembers. Aaron Rodgers on the other hand may not remember what he's doing here.
I don't want AVT at LT unless it's complete dire straits. Between Brown and Becton they should be able to hold down that position. The only tackle position I would be ok with him playing is RT but his best position it RG. To put it simply, if AVT has to play LT then we've probably lost both Brown and Becton which would be disastrous.
