Speaking from someone who has YTTV, and has for the last couple of years, it's a pretty user-friendly app, but I'm also a classic millennial who's navigated apps almost their entire life lol I pulled the trigger on Sunday Ticket this year, same as @bicketybam, I got it early and got a fairly significant discount, wanna say it was *only* like 290-300ish with the early bird discount? My fiancé's dad (I've converted him to a semi-Jets fan ) and I would go to a local bar last year that had ST and when I sat down and thought about how much money we spent on beer/food, it made sense to just get ST this year since we already have YTTV as I felt like the cost would offset. Instead of my beer costing 8 dollars a beer, I can get a 24 pack for 20-25 bucks or enjoy my good KY bourbon and not have to worry about how I'm getting home! I do not envy those who will have to find the good streams online this year but they're out there! Godspeed everyone!
Since you also have YTTV, it should have been $249 which isn't terrible. I don't have YTTV and that's why mine was $349.
I guess I can post this here since it's in regards to streams. First time I don't actually have live cable and I have something called Optimum.TV streaming. It's pretty delayed in regards to sports. Sometimes my ESPN app will give me a score notification prior to something happening in the game when I was watching the Mets. I'm not really sure how I feel about this for sports since I can't hit up twitter or even fantasy football updates. How do you guys deal with the stream delay when watching live? Does it bother you at all? I probably can't live bet either which is a bummer. The technician said Optimum is going away from cableboxes since its significantly cheaper for them, but if I bitch enough I can get actual boxes.
When I had DTV I was always behind my son's feed from Cablevision. It was a good 5 or 6 seconds (I had wireless boxes and that might have been why.)Now I have FUBO TV and the delay is much worse. It's like a good 15-20 seconds behind whats actually happening. I'm in a group chat and I have to just ignore it while a game is on. It totally sucks.
I use yt tv anyway,, went for the ticket for $299, I think it was. This will be the first year since in moved to sc in 2007 that I can see every game.
I did the RedZone option so mine ended up being $289 or something like that, which still seems like a pretty good deal to me. Most of you guys on this forum have no idea how easy you have it living in the NY/NJ area. It's a struggle to see Jets games in the heart of Bengals country lol
This is it. I live in Jetsland. If I lived away from New York metro area, I would rather invest on youtube than going to a bar every week and worry about driving home. Bring your father in law to Metlife next time. His beers and food on me.
You got a point. That's the reason I refused a promotion at work forcing me to move to Morristown Tennessee. I said fuck it. Rather have my Jets than a promotion and moving to another state.
I'll probably pony up for the YouTube TV NFL Ticket... but I am worried about the picture quality as well as the delay. Extra 10 bux a month for 4K... I'm getting a new 4K TV tomorrow so I'll sign up for their trial and see if it looks good enough... After looking at the YouTube channel option list I kinda like it... pick from the channels you want w/o paying for shit you don't. I'll have to dump DirecTV... which is fine 'cause they suck after they got bought by AT&T.
Yeah I'm not really looking forward to this whatsoever. Fucking streaming is brutal man. Redzone is normally delayed anyways so it won't be the end of the world I guess and we have majority of stand alone games this year so I may buy an antenna off Amazon for like 20 bucks for the local channels and just use that when I watch the Jets. We only have the one MNF game which I'm going to so I won't have to worry about getting ESPN on the locals, but IIRC the TNF games will be local channels incase you don't have Amazon prime and probably the same for the black friday game
https://x.com/mysportsupdate/status/1691858843356090636?s=46&t=_sGNBn_0ncibay1-V5wr-A Also for those of you with YTTV. Saw this yesterday.
Looking at the overall NFL schedule, thankfully there's not many weeks when the JETS play the same time as the Jags or Phins, and given the amount of primetime and 4pm games, I'm assuming most will be nationally broadcast. I'm thinking there will only be a handful we wont be able to watch at home, so a few games to get out of the house to watch sure seems better than 450 for the ticket
Sounds great!! Might be next year but I'm definitely planning on making another trip to MetLife in the near future!
I wonder if they will be giving discounts for the ticket , after the first month of the season. I think direct tv used to do that. Seeing that the first 3 of 4 jet games should be national televised, maybe even all 4 of them , th e Dallas game being the only non prime time game… but that one could get game of the week treatment
When I had DTV I got both CBS NY and CBS Hartford. If the Jets and Pats were both playing at the same time I would watch the game on CBS- NY because the Harford affiliate would have the Pats game. Now I have FUBO TV and I realized I don't get CBS-NY. If the Pats and Jets play at the same time I need the Sunday Ticket to watch the game. That kind of blows since I was considering ditching it next year.
