Even if it doesn’t work out, anything is better than status quo. Zach would have been a certain disaster, you don’t exactly have to squint to see how Rodgers would be expected to be better
Pat McAfee on Twitter: ""I'm not sure if Dalvin Cook and the Jets are on the same page on his role.. As of two days ago the Jets feel good that Breece Hall will be ready for week one" @diannaESPN #PMSLive https://t.co/uU76739xEw" / X
If they lean on Breece early it may blow up in their collective face. Better to have the other backs do the heavy lifting until Breece is full heal.
Agree completely, conversely, I wouldn’t want Cook under the premise that he will be the number 1 back for the year either. That I think is the disconnect with Cook and the Jets.
If Cook isn’t content to share the load…he may be the main guy early and it may transition as the year goes on and Hall gets healthier and proves he can take it…if Cook isn’t on board with that scenario then yeah it could be a problem
cook is delusional if he thinks he can take carries away form a healthy breece. Breece came out the gate a top 5 RB from day 1. cook is a declining RB who's now more of an average RB then a top RB. The idea of cook is to have depth. when breece went down the run game was awful. they might want to keep him on a pitch count to start the season and ease him in so cook would be good since abankana is a rookie and MC was up and down so far and bam is a JAG
I’m out on this guy. Hit the bricks, JD stop letting this guy use you. Also if it’s in your power to do so, prevent him from being seen on Hard Knocks. Let him be someone else’s problem
Fuck Cook at this point. All we need is to sign the guy and then have him pull a hamstring because he wasn’t in camp…then it’s a complete wast. He is needed for the early season and then to spell in the late playoff run. At this point, roll with MC, Bam Bam, and the rookie. Heck- pick up Zeek or Lenny at this point. I don’t want Cook anymore
It seems clear to me there must be far more to the Cook story than what the walkie talkie analysts and many fans across multiple teams profess to know. Teams in need like Miami, or the Jets, or NE or Dallas or may be even Buffalo do not appear to be jumping thru hoops to make any kind of move. Safe to assume the collective GMs know a hell of a lot more about the inner details, as they should, than the aforementioned wanna be experts. Be interesting to see we’re he ends up if anywhere.
Zeek? Hunt? Fornuette? Drake? Or roll with what we have I don’t want to lean on Breece until week 6 or so. They should take it extremely slow with him.
I disagree about Knight being a JAG. At this point, I think he has a higher ceiling, more potential than Carter, and so far this year, he has shown that.
And, there's a difference between "full heal" and "full ability". Saquon is proof of that. But I don't know about Cook. For some reason I prefer Fournette. Any word on what he's been up to?
I think the disconnect may be that Cook think of himself as a Pro Bowl player in his prime, while GMs don't view him that way. I mean he already came to Jets facility and still unsigned? Why? I suspect it's the oldest reason in the world: JD offered him less money than he wants to get paid. Cook may be the best RB left in the market, but he is not an elite back, according to the film. He is a solid player, who would be good to have, but without breaking a bank. If we can get him for 5 mil or less (and maybe JD wants him for quite a bit less), sure, I want him. But where he is at now, if he wants to get paid like a star, I am afraid it's not going to happen.
I'm not that familiar with Barkley's injury or his style of running... but I think (hope) Breece will bounce back sooner than Saquon. Dalvin was more productive than Fournette last year... for what that's worth.
Yo fellas it’s simple… Just hide the hoes and it’s all good! Just sayin Sorry fellas little day drinkin
