He seems completely obsessed with his injury. I'm not saying I blame him after going through all of the pain and anxiety, but I do think he is a long, long way from being mentally ready to play football, let alone physically ready.

He’s going to be very very cautious. He’s playing for a bag right now. Doesn’t seem like the guy we want long term…hopefully he plays well this year and we can get a good comp pick when he leaves in FA

Putting so many things together, I have so little hope he can be the LT of the future unfortunately. And that hope only decreased with some of those comments.

The radio report this morning said "he hobbled off the field, but he's not injured", he took himself out because "he was concerned about injury from the quality of the turf on the field"

    oof

Seems like a pipe dream that he gets through the season unscathed.

    Rodgers or Becton?

Rodgers inevitably will be hurt as a result of this bottom half offensive line.

Becton, if not physically hurt, will have his feelings hurt on social media.

I'm not surprised he looked good when playing. That's never really been the question. If he's healthy he's going to be an above average offensive lineman.

Hopefully his pitch count goes up the next couple preseason games. Seven snaps per game is not going to get the job done.

That’s actually the most likely scenario at this point …. I think he’s a good player but damaged goods. I don’t foresee a trade at this point but he would be picked up in FA if not re-signed. At this point and it’s still early but I’d say chances of that are roughly 10%

To me, as much as I want Becton to succeed, I worry he is not fixing the real problem. Physically he is good to go, but his mindset is not there yet. If you worry about getting hurt, you will never play your best. He needs to overcome that. Tough move.

He wasn't facing Miles Garrett or Za'Darious Smith.

I can't believe it was only 7 snaps. wow and that was too much for him. Douglas needs to trade for a tackle

It’s preseason 1, let him get his feet wet out there. Not taking a ton away from a scrimmage….he’s still working himself back into football shape.

besides I truly feel the jets if need be, will play the ace in the hole and move AVT to tackle.

True. But he dominated the guys in front of him. A step in the right direction.

there is still time for that - he'll have a half decent season, then we give him a huge contract and then he'll be done.
