    Feel the same way.

Forget the shitty play we've been getting out of the QB position... the lack of leadership has been severely lacking for years.
Pennington may have been the last QB that garnered the respect of the players.

Players take Rodgers seriously... he's a one-man culture changer.

I can't wait for week one...

parcells always stated, you play like you practice! So they are headed in the right direction and AR is a GOD sent because he is constantly communicationg...

NO!!!!! :p;):cool:Talk about screwing our cap up and quite likely losing Q. I don't want him and don't think we need him. We've added enough "old" guys for one offseason.

The cap is manageable, the other teams in the convo are also SB contenders in worse cap situations.

Dumping Davis and Mims is approx 13 million used towards Hopkins.

Hopkins/rookie or 2nd year player over CD and Mims any day of the week.

Would trade Mims for a conditional pick. maybe release Davis but definitely that FS we’re paying $3m who plays STs only.

Restructure Corey Davis, trade Mims, release Ashytn Davis. That’s easily another $8m in cap relief.

The real question to me goes way beyond cap implications, so before we dump Davis or any one else, is how committed is he to do what it takes, including blocking and playing in whatever role he is asked to play. How great of a teammate will he be for this young group of WRs? How unselfish will he be? I have my doubts that the chemistry is the right one.

Updated my original post. But yes. CD is a good soldier would be great for running and short yardage game. Rodgers also is very complimentary of him.

Also I think if we make those changes there wouldn’t be any difference to the team performance, and you save money while at and pick up a draft pick.

My guess Mims gets moved if Charles or One of these rookies get on. We have some freakish talent on the outside.

Same. He’s ok depth. i trust Saleh and JD to make the right call. He’ll probably be an easy re-sign though to PS. Doubt anyone picks him up off waivers, Mims definitely don’t clear waivers though. Essentially JD hoping for weak Wr depth on another team going into or coming out of training camp, or maybe before the trade deadline. Mims has to be traded, because he’s not resigning with us.

I’m coming around to your way of thinking about Mims as a possibility. It could go a number of ways for him. If during training camp rookie WRs show real promise they might try to trade Mims for value now if they don’t plan to resign him, but if he shines with AR he will be part of the main rotation because of his size and blocking ability.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I understand why you would want him, but I don't for several reasons, not the least of which is his sitting out the last two games of last season even though he was healthy.
