    My gosh was he ever.

I'm thinking that if the Jets hadn't gotten such a wonderful haul last year with Wilson, Sauce, Hall etc and had another 4-12 type year that Aaron Rodgers probably wouldn't be standing on the prow of our rowboat like Washington crossing the Delaware at the moment.

And I was actually annoyed they drafted him instead of an EDGE at the time. I’m so happy I was wrong …..

Many felt that way at the time. Sauce exceeded all expectations for sure. He is the best.

And it was nothing against Sauce - I knew he was a good one …I just felt the Jets needed a pass rush and could make do with Hall and Echols for another year….of course I didn’t know they were planning to trade back up for Johnson. Excellent draft strategy that night that’s for sure …

I wanted Thibodeaux badly but maintained that Sauce would be a fantastic pick because he was destined to be an excellent NFL player. No way that I thought he’d be as good as he was as quickly as he was.

Jalen Ramsey had an amazing rookie year and I think Sauce pretty much had the best rookie CB season of all time. He surpassed Ramsey’s performance with ease.

It's amusing to think about the Texans war room during last year's draft.

"Sure, our team is in turmoil. But this is our chance for a brand new start. So let's grab the bull by the horns! Let's get the second best cornerback at #3 overall. Who's with me!? Woot!!!"

Sauce is better then Ramsey, even young Ramsey. I understand that he cant tackle to save his life, but his overall instincts is gonna be fun to watch for the years to come. Outside of a serious injury, I'll prefer a guy who doesn't get a lot of INT's, but QB's don't want to throw too.

I wanted Sauce all along, and he was rated higher then Stingely Jr. I was happy the Texans took him and he's a baller as well, but Sauce is the truth.

Nothing wrong with that, but we got the guy we needed.

Tyreek Hill signing with Miami made this pick a no-brainer. Jets needed to have someone to neutralize him and Diggs if they hoped to compete in the division. An edge rusher wouldn't be as effective. Top edge rusher in draft, Hutchinson had 9.5 sacks, which isn't bad for a rookie, but he wasn't available, Thibodeaux had 4 and our guy Johnson had 2. Even though all three had good rookie seasons, those numbers wouldn't have been enough to stop Hill/Diggs. I don't think even JD or RS expected Sauce to be as good as he was year one, so now the pick is on the genius level. I bet Hill wishes he had signed with the Jets now.

Guys. Help me out please. If I remember correctly, pre-draft, one of the most talked about things for Sauce was not allowing a TD in college.

Did he allow any TD's last season with the Jets?

Hill went where the money was best. $30M a year and no state taxes.

We're lucky he didn't want us because we could easily have spent the 5 picks and cap space the Fins did.

One TD. Sauce allowed just 54 or 65 yards total in man coverage all season depending on the source. That has to be a record.

PFF records 1 TD allowed, but Sauce disputes that, claiming he passed the receiver off as the coverage scheme intended.

I remember that TD. He was covering the WR but then he left covering him. I say it is on him. He should have followed thru.
