I'm really digging this young band out of Canada. The whole album is great. There is a lot of Rush worship on some tracks, but, they have their own sound as well.
I have friends that like em, but i just cant get into these guys.... they played at the AMP a couple of years ago. It was hipster scenester show. Lots of "outfits" lol
Yeah the guy that makes it is a very emo aussie, but his music is crazy good. I would never go to a show of his where I had to intermingle with the mutants that go to those shows.
Speaking of outfits and mutants.... Tenacious D performed saturday night. I know it's part of the schtick, but some people put in as much effort as Raiders fans....
Not sure if anybody has posted this yet as I can't search for 3 letter words, but Ren is an amazing new artist. He is creative and super talented. This touches on mental health awareness, which seems appropriate during Mental Health Awareness month. You can't even lock him down to a genre, this has elements of hip hop, folk music and reggae. He's like a mix of Eminem and Bradley Nowell (from Sublime). This song talks about his struggles with mental health and how he helped overcome it. Really deep song here, basically battling the 2 sides of his psyche. Ren: Hi Ren This song is a journey, you never know what's coming next. If you like that one, please be sure to check this one out too. It's 3 songs in one, they are basically 3 different stories but all linked together at the end. Listen to the lyrics, the end is mind blowing. Ren: The Tale of Jenny and Screech.
I never listened to these guys before... but I saw theyre coming to The AMP, so I checked them out this morning... oh fuck yea... like a tighter / more melodic Hatebreed Serious probs to drummer for making a comeback after losing a leg
