You are correct however you always have the Belicheat vs the Jets factor to provide enough juice maybe MNF instead of SNF idk. I don’t see the Jets not getting a night game opening weekend …. It can’t be KC and I think a Buffalo or even Miami match up may be slightly too early in the season for the NFLs liking …. It’ll be at home Pats is the likely option if not I’ll say Chargers or Eagles but less of a chance.

The Jets a big market NYC area team. First game with Rodgers as the QB. The team is expected to be good for the first time in a long time. The NFL will want to showcase Rodgers first game with the Jets. I would say it's a good bet the Jets will be on SNF or MNF week 1. We will find out for sure on Thursday.
Jets have 3 marquee home games and 2 games not so bad Chiefs Eagles Bills x2 Chargers Dolphinsx2 I think Chiefs will host Eagles first week on TNF. Chargers and Dolphins not a huge draw. It will either be a Bills home or away game. Let's see
If true that has to be the SNF matchup you would think ….and the opening night matchup probably is Bills-Chiefs.
Could be the Bengals. Here is the Chiefs home schedule. Division plus Bills, Bengals, Dolphins, Bears, Lions, Eagles. If it's not the Eagles then I could see the Bengals as the favorites. The Bills opened at the Rams last year in the first game. So, I don't know if the Bills get the opening game two years in a row. This is also assuming the Eagles vs Chiefs week 2 is true. I would say Bengals, Bills, Eagles, and maybe the Chargers will be the opening game at KC.
Why not Bengals-Chiefs since it was the AFC Championship Game? That makes more sense to me. Burrow-Mahomes to kick off the 2023 season!
I would favor Chiefs-Bengals opener. There is something brewing between those 2 teams. Bengals won in KC 2 years ago and this January when Chiefs won against Bengals Kelce was hating on Bengals favorite chant calling Arrowhead a Burrowhead. Would love to see that match up rather than Eagles.
I think it would be cool to play either the Chiefs or Eagles in week 1. Beat down one of the Super Bowl favorites and put the league on notice.
Pick the team most likely to beat the Jets week 1, in order to perpetuate the "same ol' Jets" storyline. That's how the league thinks. Jets are gonna have to earn respect. In that vein, I expect KC or Philly week 1.
As last Superbowl champion, Chiefs will open the season at home on Thursday night. So Chiefs can’t play Jets Week 1. Pick another team.
Chiefs-Bengals is New Year's Eve now, so throw that out. I guess it was smart for the NFL to hold that game until the end of the year. Bills-Chiefs seems like a likely Week 1 now.
Yes and now that Thanksgiving is off the table I’m going to say 50/50 either Pats or Cowboys SNF week 1 for the Jets….I won’t believe the NFL schedules Jets Giants primetime until I see it.
