Ar's beef with Greenabay started when they drafted Jordan Love to take over as Qb, obviously he sees Zack Wilson as no threat or he would have refused to come here..
How is it possible that someone reasons like this? I am continually amazed at the thought processes of people. AR potentially worried about ZW?

Will Aaron Rodgers teach him to not overthrow 2 yard passed by a mile? Or accuracy? Or how not to be a mental midget? You cannot teach the mental aspect of the game you either have it or you don't. Zack Wilson proved time and time again he is not mentally tough to be a Nfl Qb, look at the New England game where he had 1 yard in the 2nd half or what he said afterwards. He will fold under pressure time and time again, thats something Aaron Rodgers can never teach Zack. He can play in the west coast offense, east coast offense, indian offense, or Afghani offense he will still suck under pressure and if he can't complete a 2 yard pass consistently he will not make it in the arena league. People who still hope Zack Wilson will develop into a star quarterback because Ar is here to mentor him are dellusional, Zack Wilson is not Trubinsky suck he is Josh Rosen suck. If the Jets still thought this kid had potential they would not be begging Ar to play 2-3 years. They see him as a lost cause at this point.

You’re a talented assessor, know your stuff and do a lot of research but I just can’t fall for ZW being a play maker, being creative, or above average athleticism . Despite his poor incompletion rates, he would have shown some great glimpses of goods by now and I’m afraid there are not much differences between ZW with Sanchez and Darnold where I can see he has the legs, superior arm strength/accuracy and his supposed high IQ football smarts. Not to say he won’t be a solid QB or back up QB and win some games but I just don’t see him as the so call franchise top 10-15 QB in NFL down the road.

Meh. What does he do, since that seems to be a qualifier for you?

AR and Zach have a good relationship. I saw in an article today that I quoted in another thread that one of the things Rodgers asked the Jets about is whether Zach was still in their future plans or not. He wanted him here and said that he looks forward to mentoring Zach.

Thank you. I'm mostly talking about his draft profile and how he played at BYU but we saw glimpses of that in his rookie season vs the Titans before MLF and Saleh decided that they need to change how Zach plays. IMO Zach is not a fit for the WCO, which is a very rigid, structured scheme that basically looks to get the ball out quickly on shorter routes. It requires precise timing and footwork. Zach showed at BYU that he could extend plays, create and made a lot of big plays. He wasn't used to having to get the ball out quickly, and didn't (doesn't?) have the right footwork and mechanics to be a WCO QB. I didn't realize any of that when Zach was in the draft, and don't recall seeing any of the "experts" comment on those things.

NFL players struggle when they have to think too much on the field. It slows them down and makes them hesitant. They second guess themselves. They also struggle when they play not to make a mistake, which is basically what MLF and Saleh had him doing. They were trying to change his mechanics, change his style of play 180 degrees, and then moronically expected him to play at a high level. It's little wonder he lost his confidence, and we all know that when a player is struggling with confidence he isn't going to be able to play well or do even things that are normally easy.

For certain, Zach struggled horribly last season, but he has arm talent, athleticism and moxie that Sanchez and Darnold can only dream about.

I was stunned just how poorly Zach played last season, and was shocked and disappointed when he didn't accept responsibility for his poor play. That is a sign of a player who has lost confidence in himself and his ability and who perhaps still needs to do some growing up. Zach may not have the right mental makeup to make it in the spotlight of NY/NJ with the pressure the team is under to get to the playoffs, and may not have the right mental makeup to make it in the NFL, but I'll believe that when he fails and is out of the league.

I totally believe that he has the physical talent to be a star in the NFL. I also read today that Hackett is really good at connecting with players. Hopefully, Zach did some soul-searching this offseason, grew up a little, and worked his ass off on his fundamentals/footwork. Between AR, Hackett, and Zach's normal swagger, hopefully they can rebuild Zach's confidence on the field and get him playing at a high level again. It's in our best interests that that happens. Every Jets fan should stop trashing Zach and start hoping and praying that it isn't too late, that he does have the right mental makeup and toughness to make it in the NFL, and that by the time Rodgers retires will be a great FQB for the next 10 years after that. If he fails, God only knows where we'll get the next QB, and it's almost a certainty that he won't have the ceiling and arm talent that Zach has.

Take heart. If you listen to the interview with Nathaniel Hackett, and pay attention to times he talks about how he's been able to help all different kinds of QBs, and how in his opinion the WCO is first and foremost and QB-designed system, and how he believes it's the coach's job to adopt the system to the QB, I can't think of a better recipe for Zach's success. Then adding Rodgers as his mentor! If Zach can't succeed with all that, then I join all the haters here and pronounce him a bust.

Zack will never be in the starting lineup as long as Ar is here and healthy. Assuming Ar stays healthy the next 2 years and puts up half way decent numbers Zack will not crack in the starting lineup and there is no way the Jets would pickup his 5th year option. Zack is done here barring a Ar injury. Besides him utterly sucking no one on the team respects him or wants to play with him. He is a outcast at this point.

Nope. Not hoping, or praying, for Zach Wilson.

Don't you think it's time you stopped telling other people what they should feel and do?

Atleast you can see Ar at the Knicks and Rangers games bonding with teammates, Today he was laughing it up with Sauce. You never seen Zack Wilson bond with teammates infact he did everything in his power to piss them off and dislike him. Ar will quickly be loved by the team and lead them, Zack could or will never do this. Just hope Ar holds up and the offensive line is better than the pile of shit Jd put together last 4 years.
