I didn’t say that at all. We drafted him right where his value was. What I’m saying is had he not been injured he might have been a higher value pick. But we drafted him exactly where he was valued.
At this point you’re losing value by doing that. According to the JJ chart, 170 = 21.8 and 186 = 16.2, so roughly 38 points, which is top of the 5th round value (pick 136) which were well past at this point. They most likely just make their final picks and call it a day.
Good prospects still left: Henry To’oTo’o - LB Owen Pappoe - LB Antonio Johnson - S Christopher Smith - S (my favorite target for 170) JL Skinner - S AT Perry - WR Trey Palmer - WR Moro Ojomo - DE/DT
At his pro day, Abanikanda jumped 41″ in the vertical and ran an unofficial 4.41 40-yard dash, which some onlookers timed in the 4.3 range. Dude has burst AND wheels.
At this point let's have fun. Who doesn't want to hear "To'oTo'o" over and over again? Remember Nuu Fa'aola? We must get this guy.
yeah...to me it says they were down on Michael Carter after his year last year, and we let Ty Johnson go, so RB was a need...Breece may take a bit of time to get back to what he was...most likely 2024 not this year, so getting another RB I like
With one of our last two picks I would like to see Zack Kuntz TE picked. It would give Rogers a BIG target and he has a huge upside. He was hurt last year but came back early, quicker than expected, and had the #1 Athleticism Score for TEs at the Combine with a 94. His junior year he caught 73 receptions. He is 6’7.5”, 255 lbs, 34” arms, 10-1/4 hands with 4.55 speed and a 40” vertical. He even did 23 reps on the bench press. He is not a good blocker, but can learn.
I would love JL Skinner here at 170 Can't believe Wypler is still there? Is there a medical issue or something?
Really hope we’re still able to get Christopher Smith at 184. I know it’s crazy to say but I legitimately believe he could come in and start as our FS this year.
