yes. Why wouldn’t a slot option play immediately on a team that has no real slot option? Unless we’re putting Hardman there full time, we just have a bunch of guys that CAN play in the slot. Hyatt would be in there immediately. I guess this is the beauty in having a solid roster and star QB. The needs are few. I’d prefer Branch at this point probably because he starts for us day 1 but just like with the tackles in the first round, “missing” on anyone doesn’t make or break our season.

Oline is gonna be the pick regardless of who is on the board. They take an OC, then they can move McGovern to guard, AVT to OT again should Becton go down with injury. They take a guy like Mauch, he can play guard, fill in for OT in an emergency and many feel his best spot could be center in time, so could backup McGovern. The Jets oline is lacking in depth and has age/injury concerns... they 100% need to address!
yeah he's athletic and goes hard every play... looking to smash guys. he's raw though and I wonder if his pass protecting is gonna lead to him being a bit of a project.

On any given play, Simpson could be in the box, in the slot, off the edge, or even at deep safety. But what makes Simpson so valuable isn’t his ability to line up all over the field. It’s his ability to dominate all over the field. John Michael Schmitz OC Minnesota Height: 6 - 3 | Weight: 301 | RAS: 7.89 Centers who can get outside the 1-technique off the snap when moving laterally pass the necessary athletic threshold. Schmitz falls under that category. Not only can the Minnesota C get outside the 1-tech off the snap, but he can also give himself enough space to flip his hips. His lateral burst out of his stance allows him to work across-face against the 1-tech and traverse gaps with relative ease. Drew Sanders LB Arkansas Height: 6 - 4 | Weight: 235 | RAS: 8.96 Drew Sanders transferred from Alabama to Arkansas last offseason, and he has looked like a completely different player. I don’t mean physically; Sanders switched from an on-ball linebacker with the Crimson Tide to off-ball in Fayetteville. That versatility only boosts Sanders’ stock, who has the physical tools to operate as a stack linebacker while also generating pressure as a blitzer or occasional EDGE. It may take a creative defensive coordinator to unlock his maximum upside, but the skill set is there to mold him into a three-down defender. Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn State Height: 6 - 2 | Weight: 193 | RAS: 9.71 Porter is an extremely adaptable athlete who can stack quick direction changes and speed up his footwork to recover positioning. To that end, he has the twitch to suddenly snap out of his backpedal, sink, and explode toward breaks. The Penn State CB flashes impressive corrective twitch when adjusting positioning in fast-moving situations. And he’s shown he can quickly chop his feet, sink, and decelerate to blanket WRs on comebacks. Tucker Kraft TE South Dakota State Height: 6 - 4 | Weight: 254 | RAS: 9.68 At the FCS level, it’s easy to see how Kraft stands out from his peers. He has a strong, stocky frame with decent functional length. And while he may not be a quantifiably elite athlete, Kraft passes the threshold desired from an NFL starter. At his size, Kraft is a smooth athlete with easy accelerative capacity in space. He flashes great foot speed and urgency as an accelerator, with the explosiveness to quickly enter space and threaten up seams. In space, Kraft has good long speed — enough to be a threat stretching the field horizontally and turning ahead for RAC yards.
Part of me wants to see us draft Will Levis just so this board can go into full-on meltdown mode. In all seriousness, Brian Branch, Steve Avila, Keeanu Benton, Joe Tippman, JMS would be some of my favorites. Another guy to keep in mind for the "why didn't we draft an OT?!?!?!?!?!" crowd, Matthew Bergeron out of Syracuse could be in play here. He's got LT/RT versatility and would be solid value at 43.

Should be some good OL around and that's where I'm hoping they focus. All the Centers (JMS, Wypler, Avila, Tippman) and I'd be cool with any. O'Cyrus Torrence would be hard to complain about I also like Matthew Bergeron. OT positional flex and could place inside. Love that. Brian Branch would be really hard to pass up though if he's there. That guy sounds like a plug and play impact starter at S. But OL should be the priority and I expect it to be. Also trade down, that would be cool to get more picks. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like some of these trade downs, especially when you got from the end of the top 10 onwards didn't yield as much as I thought so hoping they wouldn't get pennies for a move down

Totally forgot about Dawand Jones too, he's another OT prospect that's still on the board. However, I could see them having some skepticism due to his size (6'8" 374) due to how Mekhi's career has played out so far, but he's already fairly refined in pass-pro so he could be in play to start at RT if he's the pick.
TE Darnell Washington could be a sleeper pick. He would address an offensive need along with being a monster blocker at TE
