Schedule will be announced on second week of May, most likely May 12th per rumors. Our opponents are below. Which Jets games will be primtime games in your opinion? I think one thing is certain. Jets will take on Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. There is bad blood between Rodgers and Cowboys and this seems like a match made in heaven for Turkey Day.
Dallas on Thanksgiving is a given …..it was already a 50% chance before Rodgers came onboard. I will say Dallas, Buffalo, NE, and one other matchup for the prime time games. I’ll guess the Chargers ….
The start of the first night game.... stadium lights get turned down to a glow..... through the sound system begins the chorus of "Fear of the Dark" by Maiden as the crowd starts to join in..... then Rodgers and the JETS come out of the tunnel in the all black unis (the only time those shitty things will be cool)..... BOOM. Pyrotechnics flame from the top of the stadium. LETS FUCKING GO!!!!!
I don't give a shit. I want a team that wins on Sundays. Not the headlines In the off-season. Woody achieved his agenda to justify the price bump on those tickets. Good for him. I'm not biting though. I want to see the wins. Then I'll be excited.
@ Buffalo sunday night week 1, just my guess also the at vegas raiders game has primetime potential as well
at DAL (Thanksgiving) BUF (SNF) at MIA (MNF) KC(MNF) I will say they get scheduled for 4 but will probably get flexed into a 5th one if they are having a good season.
Dallas Thanksgiving definitely. I could also see the Chiefs and/or Chargers as another 1 or 2. The schedule makers love Herbert, felt like we saw LAC on primetime quite a bit last year. I'm not sold on the NY v NY thing. That doesn't really keep the rest of the country engaged and they are going to get majority of the NY market by having just one NY team primetime. Eagles also make sense as another one.
On the plus side it means the Jets are good again. I get your point. It's a pain in the ass to get to the stadium on a weekday during rush hour. Rt 17 won't be fun at that time. Then getting home late and having to get up for work/school the next day. All fanbases of good teams have to do it. For me personally I always prefer Sunday games at 1:00.
I guess the one benefit of it is that I won't pass up as many fishing & surfing sundays this year..... so that guarantees non-stop NE'ers.
Gonna be an uphill battle with all we've got going on this year but I'm going to put the full-court press on the fiancé for another fall/winter NY trip this year. Would love to see MetLife rocking with Rodgers under center!
My guess is its going to be a 3-way battle for the AFCE between the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins. Expect primetime games between all 3 playing each other during the course of the season.
I’m guessing week 1 for primetime also but I don’t think it’ll be a road game. Sunday night maybe Monday night …. They need to hit the ground running hopefully it’s the Pats and an ass kicking ….
This was mentioned about a month or so ago in the New York Post. But the first MNF game falls on 9/11. The Post suggested that the Jets and Giants play on this day. They suggested they could do a ceremony remembering the victims before the game. Who knows if the league will schedule Jets at Giants on 9/11 but it was mentioned as a possible week one matchup by the Post.
