They swapped first round picks for this year. 13 for 15. We basically gave up a first next year. But assuming things work out it should be pick 24+ hopefully. Not losing the pick entirely this year was the big thing. Now we can add a TE or Lineman.
Conditional pick should have been predicated on making the playoffs and how far we go in the playoffs, not how much he plays. Terrible.
If the Jets fail to make the playoffs next year and Rodgers retires AND Jets have no 2024 1st rounder, I can only imagine how angry this board will be.
Yeah cause we haven't been a epic failure for most of 50 years? I am ok with the deal. I think Packers got a great deal
Joe Douglas choked like a dog. It's basically an unprotected 1st next year. AND he gave them the pick swap this year. Both are wins for Guntekunst and the Packers.
No, it is 2024 pick. 65% this year. Basically unless he gets hurt or sucks so much we play Zach over him for large portion of the year, it's a 1 next year.
We will be getting a decent amount of primetime games when the schedule comes out next month. One of the Bills and Dolphins games respectively will be a primetime matchup. Allen vs Rodgers for sure. The Chiefs and Mahomes are another good bet for a primetime matchup.
I think it's a terrible trade... Jets caved. Packers basically got what they wanted, & the Jets a one-year rental. Too many questions with this team, to give up so much. Very disappointed.
Well we know it won't be the later ..... I'm holding hope that details arent totally accurate Even Mike T, got future pick protection in the Favre deal.
Rodgers better never take a knee at the end of halves/games. Leave that to Zach. Keep every opportunity to drop below that 65% threshold.
Sounds like he's going to wear #8 and not Namath's number which is cool. Also said he's looking forward to participating in all off-season activities, which is fantastic news.
Any idea on how much he will count against the cap? and how much are we paying of what he has left on his contract.
It really depends on what Aaron Rodgers you get. If he has a resurgence and plays like an MVP, its worth it. If he continues to degrade, its a poor deal.
