If what they are saying about Aaron Rogers's cap hit, GB will probably not trade him until June 1. This means a month and 1/2 or more of this crap for the Jets nation to endure. If he ends up being a bust, it will more hell for us Jet fans to endure. But the Jets have no choice. They must take the gamble as you so eloquently have stated. At least no one can argue that Jets management did not try. My Pats have been fortunate and I will probably be shifting my allegiance more toward the Jets this season. I will actually be rooting for the Jets to beat my Patriots, that is I think I will. Can't guarantee it till the game happens. Time is no friend for Broadway Joe, and he deserves to see a Jet SB victory before he departs this earth. Otherwise, if they can at least make it to the AFC Championship game, that might be more of a reasonable expectation. In the meantime, be prepared to be taking a lot of Advil trying to root for AR. He is a head case and hopefully not another Kyrie Irving for New York.[/QUOTE] If what they are saying about Aaron Rogers's cap hit, GB will probably not trade him until June 1. I like the idea for a dominant OL and then taking a QB flyer in round 2 But the dream of a Special 2923 I mean 2023 .lol season is too tempting and we gotta have a Rogers bar ! ..too many past Sundays ruined but now there’s the possibility of weeks of winning game after game with this QB and Jets supporting cast I don’t remember when that happened last ..at least 12 years ago. ?? Sigh
Has there ever been a QB other than Trevor Lawrence where you said you'd take him with a top 10 pick?
The 49ers don't just have Lance though, they also have Purdy and Sam. I think Purdy is the guy they're really hoping can be the franchise QB, and even with Sam you never know: he got screwed over more than any young QB since David Carr. If I were the 49ers, I would forget about Rodgers and bet that one of their three young QBs can be the answer.
You mean, again? A 40 yo coming off a mediocre season just took a team with a 13 year drought to the Super Bowl a couple years ago. Legit question, do you even watch football?
I am reposting this. This is the mediocre club AR finds himself in: Most accomplished QBs of the modern era Quarterback MVPs Rings Tom Brady 3 6 Peyton Manning 5 2 Joe Montana 2 4 Brett Favre 3 1 Aaron Rodgers 3 1 Terry Bradshaw 1 4 Steve Young 2 1 Kurt Warner 2 1 John Elway 1 2 Pro Football Reference Getting Derek Carr or even Jimmy Garrapolo would have been a giant leap forward for the Jets franchise Now you want to pass on literally one of the biggest trades in franchise history..well ok
All I see now is delusional Packers fans on social media. This one guy thinks we swap ones this year, they get both our seconds and Corey Davis and a conditional first next year.
well no shit he’s had a great career. We aren’t getting the 29 year old Rodgers we are getting the 39 year old version
And then we also have the story about an over the hill Payton with literally zero left in the tank that managed to stay out of the way enough to help Denver win a SB. AR is 100% better at this stage than both Brady and Payton when they won.
Yes, they have different names. I don’t think Brady was ever mediocre but we’re going by your standards. Brady’s PFF passer rating his last year in NE was 77 which was down from the previous year of 88…. Rodger’s PFF rating was 76 his last year in GB down from the previous year of 87 Do you even watch football?
He’s a parody of the ego-monster known as Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Probably not a name too familiar to US viewers, unless you are an LA Galaxy aficionado.
