Just once I'd like to see: "Homeboy has a visit this week with X team. He had an earlier visit with Y team that was awkward and unpleasant."
Calais Campbell was a freshman when I first really started following CFB and subsequently the NFL draft. Very unique prospect and a phenomenal NFL player. Walter Payton man of the year winner which means he’s an even better man. At this stage in his career, when he’s obviously considered playing for the Falcons who have endless money, I can’t imagine he gives two shits about anything other than 1) my coach can’t be a dickhead and 2) I want to make as much money as possible in my last hurrah.
I’ve always been a fan of CC. And we need a player like that on the interior DL in a bad way. He”d also be a huge vet presence in locker room (quite literally). sign this beast!
He's at the end of his road, but still would be a great pick up (at the right price).... great dude that would be an excellent influence on the the young guys in the lockerroom. Character wise he's everything you'd want in a football player. He was loved in JAX and most folks were pissed when he was let go
Sign this beast to a 2 year deal. That way we can focus on some other positions in the draft. I wonder if Whitehead makes it into next year. His cap hit is kinda high for a safety who misses a lot of tackles, same with Davis WR his cap is high for a guy you can’t really rely on all year. I think we have a lot more moves and work coming up ahead
Campbell would be a great signing. He'd be great for Clemons and would be a genuine upgrade to the DL. Go get him.
JD has missed with a few players this off season and Campbell would have been a nice addition. Definitely need some beef next to Q and my hope is maybe Mazi Smith will still be around for our second pick. Not likely, but he'd be perfect complement to the line as a run stuffer /penetrator who will take up two people. We better not be reading a similar story when it comes to Ben Jones at center.
Joe Douglas didn't miss on Campbell, Campbell never gave him a chance he was supposed to meet tomorrow but obviously the Falcons made him a deal he couldn't resist. Campbell stood up the Jets and the bills for the Falcons.
