Thanks for answering my earlier question. I also agree that he can still be useful. Short yardage/Goal line for sure.

Running backs particularly those that run with a chip on their shoulder sometimes need to regain that chip

Elliott has gotten that by being cut by Dallas. I think he will be a better player next year than he was last couple years where ever he goes.

I say show some balls and sign him

I'd take him and say bye to Carter. Just think he's too small to the NFL. Great dude though from the outside looking in

i agree I loved the move but last year showed me he might not have it to be a productive secondary back

I love Zeke, he was a beast for OSU, and I'm happy he had very solid career.

    However.

The Cowboys ran his dick into the ground, he has a ton of mileage on his wheels at this point. If they can get him cheap, cool, but giving up significant money would be silly at this juncture In his career I think.

This off-season Is scary AF for me. Stressful. lol

The Jets are on the cusp of sinking this organization to a level of ineptitude that will surpass even the Buccaneers of early 80s.

I know he's not what he once was, but as a goal line/short yardage back with some occasional pass protection? We could do a lot worse.

Bengals told Zeke "we good"... I hope the Jets say the same.

With Ty Johnson re-signed... do we really need a declining running back?

Breece, MC, Ty Johnson and Bam Knight is enough at RB. We need to fix the O Line.

Zeke is the kind of back that will frustrate fans... he will look slow, shot and yet demand more carries as a vet than his performance warrants.

Ty Johnson is a better RB.

Were not a good enough roster, and no longer have enough resources, to go all in. The more all in we go the more all out were going to be in the future. And its already begun by signing average players to larger contracts then the people their replacing in sideways moves.

People think that signing new names will make our team better. In reality it looks to be about the same.
People think that signing a good QB makes us a SB team. In reality it makes us an above .500 team who at best might secure a one and done.

I'd love to be wrong and win the SB but logic dictates that isn't realistic at this stage. We are currently a desperate fanbase melting down. When we had the patience to do it right we didn't have the skill. And when we have the skill to do it right we didn't have the patience.

Don't like it, unless it is for a very low dollar amount.

With Breece coming back mid-season, I wonder if Zeek would sing a 6 month contract?!

Maybe. But other than Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs team is average. Other than Josh Allen, the Bills team is average. Other than Joe Burrows, the Bengals team is probably below average. Point is, when you look at the Jets roster and say we're average, you can also look at the Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals and say the same thing about their 'roster'. It's Mahomes, Allen, Burrows, and soon....Rodgers that makes all the difference.

I do agree with you saying that going all in will be a huge setback if we don't get to the dance in the next yr or two....it will all been for nothing, with huge bills to pay.

    Pray it works out!
