In New York, Elliott would join a depth chart led by Breece Hall, who is returning from a torn ACL suffered last season. Elliott had a career-low 876 rushing yards in 2022, but he scored 12 touchdowns and remained a top short-yardage back and pass protector. But in the final four regular-season games, he averaged just 2.7 yards per carry, and he had just 17 runs of 10 yards or more on the season. Might not be a bad pickup on the cheap. he's still only 27 years old, and would be a good change of pace back with Breece returning.
All of a sudden, the Jets are the flavor de jour of the FA world now. Talk about a complete 180! Its almost as radical as when Cohen bought the Mets. Not a familiar position to be in for sure. I can get used to this...
If we're going to sign him for the one or two years we (hopefully) have Rodgers, then fine. But we should not be giving a long-term deal to a downward-trending 27 year old RB heading into his 8th season in the league.
Haven't really followed Zeke's career after his first few years. Is he a good blocking RB? anyone know
If he is looking to win a title and he wants to go to a contender he would have to be willing to take less. So if hes willing to take less I would be interested, but if hes not then no thanks.
Speaking of RB's what's the status on Breece? Is he working out and running with a good range of motion? Anyone know? Honestly I wasn't banking on Breece returning to form until the '24 season. I would love to be wrong but I also want the Jets to be careful with bringing him back too soon.
He’s the best blitz protector in the league and has been known to be Dak’s eyes and ears pre-snap. Would’ve been nice to have a player like that when developing a young QB. He’s not much of a runner anymore since he’s been beaten to shit, but he’s still a useful player which is why he has a good amount of league interest.
