Maybe his balls would drop and he'd stop calling everything awesome.

I bet high school musical is his favorite show

Kapono Wilson likes Road house or ConAir though

I don't see Wilson staying once his contract is up. Both he and the Jets are better off parting ways. IMHO

You know, he just might depending on his progress over the next 2 years. Rodgers would presumably be retired, and where else would Zach have any reasonable shot? I think the more important factor will be whether he’s shown enough in 2 years behind Rodgers for the Jets to actually want him

Anything is possible but going from the media reports/speculation he had lost the locker room last year. He wasn't well liked and remember some Jets players were wearing Mike White shirts. Again, who knows what will happen. Wilson didn't show any improvement from year 1 to year 2. This is why we are looking for a QB. Now he will hold a clipboard for 2 years while watching Rodgers play. I think he will want to leave and see if he can make a fresh start somewhere else. Darnold found other opportunities to play. I am sure someone will take a chance on Zach as well.

And that's another thing.....I don't get how a team allows this to happen? Aren't team members supposed to support one another, rally around those who are struggling for the sake of the team, yada yada yada. Here we have teammates overtly expressing preference for the backup, and then we have Wilson and Sauce on social media openly recruiting Rodgers and others to play for the Jets. How does that support the concept of TEAM? As bad as Zach was last year, he is still the QB. His teammates should be showing their support (or shutting up) until the FO decides he isn't the QB. I love Wilson and Sauce as players, but this points to a serious weakness at the top of the organization.

I’ve been steadfast in my stance that we never should have drafted Zach and given that we did, he should be on the bench learning. I don’t really think he has the make up mentally to be an elite NFL QB. He may someday, but in my opinion he needs to grow leaps and bounds. Only reason I preface my post with that disclaimer is so you know where I’m coming from when I say that I agree with you wholeheartedly. Management should be ashamed for allowing the team to cannibalize ZW the way they did.

Zach is not a NFL QB due his inconsistent accuracy. You won’t be able to fix it. Newton was the same but he was a freak of nature. Winston is another high pick with inaccuracies but he was able to give you nice performances in spurts if you let him rip.

If Zach can get to Winston level stats i’d be shocked but feel he salvaged his career anything less is all time bust.

I blame management honestly. Zach lost the locker room because he wasn’t ready. Management hung him out to dry letting Mike F’n White T-shirts and chants go on in the locker room. Someone would take a chance on Zach but not as a starter. Darnold showed some promise in his time. Zach hasn’t really at all. But when Rodgers leaves we’d have a wide open slot which, if he has improved and matured over the next 2 years, he’d have the fast track to win the job.

This is on Saleh, he just ignored it, the team divided, became distracted & then the team collapsed.
One thing I disagree with that many cite as fact, is that Zach lost the team.
It's nonsense. Just because a bunch of players were loud, it doesn't mean the rest of the team turned against him.
The Media feeds off controversy, & blows up when the smallest thing happens.
There were even 'reports' that Zach had been late for practices, which was immediately refuted by credible sources, & players.
It was Saleh that lost the team, by allowing the shat to continue.
And the ensuing end-season collapse, was the result of a distracted & divided team.
And it's continued throughout the off-season, with all the tweets.
One of the reasons, my biggest question with the team is Saleh, is he the right person to lead the team to success?

No we lost two of THE top offensive players and our OLine got MW destroyed. Season was over then.

All teams we lost to at the end were basically playoff teams trending upward. Lions didn’t make it but they were hot to end the year every else was in the playoffs.

We lost and got better pick. Now we get OL we want most likely and C and DT in first 3 picks.

While I think Salah does have some blame allowing the outward expression against Zach. Zach also is an adult and i a game clearly he was the reason why we lost his OWN answer buried him. He had a chance to show poise, leadership, and self reflection. Instead he showed he was a child incapable of receiving criticism. He is gone in my opinion

This is a fair take. I'm interested to see if Wilson improves under Rodgers enough to remain a Jet. Hopefully like the progression Love has apparently shown under Rodgers in Green Bay.
