My apologies, had a typo when I plugged in the numbers. It was 231 YPG which is still 50 YPG more than after he broke his finger. Do you really want to continue with this?
This. It can't be some ridiculous contract. If he wants to play for us, with Rodgers, at a fair price. I'd be down. Given his knee Isn't completely shot.
He is the reason I am a Jets fan. https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/what-joe-namath-means-for-nfl.93668/
I always thought Joe willie was an asshole, but he was ours. He milked his fame for all he could. Everyone is a different personality, but JN never harmed others. I'm older than him, and we admiredhis lifestyle back in the day. About his football. Really can't compare accross eras, but in his time he was highly regarded. And yeah, we havnt had a better one.
Beckham doesn't seem like the person who would take a paycut to play with Rodgers despite all the social media replies. I think he's trying to draw a hype so a team signs him. Seems like a money guy to me. I'm sure he prefers playing with Rodgers but I think he's more about the money. $20mill never felt real it felt like an egotistical highball offer so he gets 10-15mil. Still think his pricetag won't be worth it.
Now, I normally do net get involved in these discussions BUT Joe Namath threw for over 4000 yards when most QB's were throwing for 1000 to 2000 yards per season. This is why he is a legend. Imagine the best QB today and double his output. This was Joe Willie. This is why he is in the hall of fame. This is why I feel he is the greatest QB of his generation. You can nitpick at his stats, numbers, etc. but look at them in comparison to all the other QB's of his time. He was head and shoulders above all of them. Add the fact that he still bleeds green and is a diehard Jets fan, How can you not love him?
