Don't even bring up the 12 interceptions in 8 games or his career 75.4 passer rating. Those are meaningless. We will rue the day. Why? Why???!!!!

The context is as much as I liked White’s enthusiasm and pop - the Dolphins overpaid. He is decent for a spot start or two but eventually gets exposed between arm strength and fragility. A decent back up but not for $8 million a year ….

It's only 8 million per year if he reaches the incentive targets. He pretty much has to become the every game starter for that to happen. His base is only 4mil avg per season but that 8m is fully guaranteed. More than reasonable.

It is actually only a 4 Mill/year guaranteed deal but can reach 8 Mill per year via incentives, playing time, playoff incentives etc. Good backup for Tua.

Again, I hope you're right. But, against the Bears, Vikings and Bills he was the first name mentioned on the Studs and Duds thread, and I don't remember too many objections.
And we're the Jets. Since when could we jettison any QB that looked even remotely competent??

    Bears: 22/28, 315 yards, 3 td, 0 int
    Vikings: 31/57, 369 yards, 0 td, 2 int
    Bills: 27/44, 268 yards, 0 td, 0 int
    Total: 80/129, 952 yards, 3 td, 2 int
He can move the ball, but he doesn’t put it in the end zone. For the money he got from Miami, I’m sure we can do better

    With who though?

If we're going all in this year we can't do that with Zach as #2.

At that deal we probably could’ve/should’ve kept him. Rodgers, White, Wilson is a fine QB room (and only putting Wilson in there because we know we’re not cutting him)…

After each of those games the knock was on LaFleur for his redzone play calling. For $4mil/yr (his actual salary) I don’t see where we get someone better.

For 4m he’s fine. For 8, we can do better

That's a good deal for you guys.... if it's really just 4 per JETS kinda dropped the ball, unless Mike F'n White just wanted to go home to SFL

Let's hope Father Time holds off the ominous 4-0 for a couple of years

Hopefully the new one can hit a guy in stride 5 yards past the LOS...

When Favre came here Pennington went to Miami.

With Rodgers coming here White went to Miami.

    History is a circle.

That's a pretty crazy take. Is White going to run the Wildcat?

I liked Mike White, but sort of feel we need a complete roster change at Qb.

Sign Rodgers, trade Wilson and draft a few developmental Qb's over the next few years while Rodgers starts.

What happens, G-d forbid, if Rodgers delivers on his abilities, giving the Jets a winning team and then goes down with an injury? You've invested all this money to buy a playoff appearance, only to turn the team over to a developmental QB? No can do, with Rodgers, you'll need an adequate backup.
