Why shouldn't he? Better than "I'm going to suck that guys dick every day". SMH. And again, why is this turning into - ANOTHER - shit on Zach Wilson thread?
I honestly can't see why anyone wouldn't be happy to have Aaron Rodgers as their QB other than non football reasons. And I think we're seeing a lot of that.
So correct as always Colorado. If ZW is to make a career in this league he can start from clearing the decks in his head and learn from one of the greats on a daily basis. He has one year, hopefully two, to do that and all Jets fans should hope that he does.
With all due respect, it looks like you guys need a few social media admins. The Facebook page hasn't seen a post in almost a year, and the Twitter page is not regularly updated. Last post was yesterday when today was the prime day to be active.
Well I DID see Namath play - it's what cemented me as a Jets fan for life. And no he wasn't perfect, but you know what he was? He was the first guy to publicly go against the staid mold of the then NFL - he was the rightful face of the AFL and as much as anyone was responsible for the NFL agreeing to merge. And it has torn me up for decades that his old team, the team that chose a jet as their logo and image to show their high flying aspirations, turned their back on that heritage and became acolytes for "Defense wins championships", even as the NFL was going in the opposite direction. Finally, under Douglas, we seemed to be trying to return to that old image. Sure, maybe he misjudged Zach - although I don't think he's given up on him - but even so, he signaled his understanding that you need a great QB to compete for a SB. If JD was content to simply make the playoffs he would've signed Carr immediately, but he didn't. Just like refusing to trade the #2 pick and using it on the guy he believes can be a FQ, he now swings for the fences again with Rodgers. Maybe it doesn't work out, but there's a reason they say "Homerun hitters drive the Cadillacs", and why people may bitch and moan about their strike outs, but will come out of their seats when they connect. This is the night and day difference that Douglas has made to this franchise, even though he's made some mistakes - his blueprint is clear: build a sustainable winning team centered around a great QB. Weeb and Sonny W would be proud.
I don't see that being the scenario. I don't think that would make sense. Maybe, I don't see that playing out that way though.
cmon dude, you're taking these things too literally / seriously...... They just signed a dude who is much better than a guy they cut.
I think Davis mostly suffered from the horrendous QB play. To be fair. People keep saying Davis Is declining and Lazard Is on the rise. .. but, Davis has only been In the league one more year. With lesser QBs to work with. Yet, he still has the better stats and film. That's without a HOF QB like Aaron Rodgers. I'm not unhappy with the signing, I guess. I just don't feel excited about It either. It's just, meh, for me.
Freak show? Finally we got to hear the truth. Freak show was all the media BS from Adam Shitner on down the line, for the last two weeks, continuously pointing the finger to AR being the hold up, including the expectation on the suggested player list, till yesterday, when it become apparent to those numb nuts that GB was the hold up, playing hardball with draft value and everything the GM said previously was nothing but feel good .rubbish's. Now the media is in a tweet war because they got stripped down. Good for AR.
Right, what I'm saying though. I don't think Corey Davis stays at this point. So, it's kind of just a swap. We shall see what happens but I don't think they keep both. Berrios Is whatever. 4/5 guy. They aren't paying Lazard that money to be the Berrios replacement. Just don't see it.
You can call me an old curmudgeon for not enjoying that show. It felt like my IQ dropped 10 points, from the moment it started out with a guy screaming, "FUCK!", as a greeting. Just not suited to my taste.
