I'll take that as a big clue that Rogers is a Jet.

That's a big upgrade from a WR position vs Berrios...

I like how Schefter has to say "reunite with Nathaniel Hackett"

Feels like this spells the end of CD's Jets tenure. I like Lazard as his replacement.

Feel like we still need a burner but they can get someone like Tyler Scott or Tank Dell in the mid-late rounds to fill that role.

Jakobi Meyers signed with the Raiders for 3yrs/33mil, which was less than projected. Hopefully Lazard would get even less than this

Lazard’s a nice NFL story as a guy off the street but he’s an average at best NFL receiver. Hopefully we don’t overpay and this is just to give Rodgers a friend in New York.

First thought that came to mind was Denzel Mims. Wasn't he like the fastest WR coming out? Or one of the fastest? Going from memory here, and don't know our plans for him going forward. It would be great if we finally figured out how to get something out of him....he's also a top blocker in the run game, so there's that too.

Head and shoulders better than Berrios and more productive than Davis. Improved every single year. Yes but hell yes as a AR security blanket.

Thats exactly what I am afraid of, now there is talk about Cobb as well. There is also talk of the Browns wanting to trade for Elijah Moore. I hope we don't trade Moore and sign Cobb

The best part of the Rodgers saga is Schefter in total toddler-level meltdown.

100%. Love Schefter getting shafted on the scoop.

I wouldn't call Lazard average. His numbers have improved every season. He's a big bodied receiver, super clutch in the red zone and picked up 45 first downs last season.

He would be a terrific one-two punch alongside Garrett Wilson. At only 27 he still has plenty of productive years ahead.

Eh I mean he played next to two rookies Rodgers didn’t want to throw the ball to for half the year and a depleted older Randall Cobb who only played 44% of the snaps.

His snap count increased by 16% and his targets went up by 40 total. To say he improved every year might be valid, but it deserves context.

I’m not against signing him, but Lazard is really a #3 that blocks really well.

How so and what did Schefter do to tick off Rodgers?

I would imagine that with Rodgers throwing the rock he will want to stay

That's a fair point and honestly I hope he gets his shit together and stays. Let them have Mims, that stiff.

PLEASE don't pay this guy top dollar. Really not much of an upgrade on Davis if any.

Really starting to wonder if we would have been better off going after Carr or Jimmy G than being held hostage by Rodgers and forced to bring in the guys he hasn't been winning with in GB.

The Jets overpaid for Corey Davis based on production so hopefully they learned their lesson and don’t give Lazard near the same contract.
