I find it hard to believe that Rodgers would end his career on a whimper failing to make the playoffs. Now he has the opportunity to be heralded as a God by coming to a solid New York Jets team and leading them deep into the playoffs and beyond. All the greats have taken that route. Do you want to be mentioned in the same breath as those greats Aaron Rodgers? Then sign the contract. Pull on the Green and White and Let's Do This. Go Jets!!
Assuming that's the issue. We've heard it could be several things including GB wanting more than what we are offering in a trade. Let's say we are offering a second and GB wants a first. At this point should Douglas just go ahead and say ok just to get it done?
JD is negotiating what's best for the Jet cap and draft situation long term. I get that. But cmon, you gotta admit this thing is dragging on now. There isn't a bidding war for Rodgers presently. We could call GB's bluff and simply wait until the new year starts this week and GB runs the risk of eating that guaranteed '23 money. This gives JD all the leverage he needs to close this deal. GB is on the clock, not us. Given the choice of eating Rodgers contract because they didn't get all of what they wanted as opposed to making the best deal they can? Then the GB GM is doing his team a real disservice. Tik Tok... Time is not GB's friend.. Time to close the deal...
Yeah that is the big risk. The bet you are making is on JD who is a new GM growing into the role. His first few drafts were poor, especially Zach. But he did great last year. If he gets 2 starters from this years draft and last years guys keep improving you can start to believe a bit I think. Screw the 3-year timetable. If your GM is competent you got a chance. Jury is still out on Salah. Again, imagine being Carolina and making that bone headed trade. I’ll take the Jets.
I’ve worked in the television industry for 15 years and I live in Connecticut. No hard evidence I’m willing to drop on a website, but I will go back and edit that for that reason alone. In general she’s not a great human. She flat out lied by saying Mason Rudolph dropped the N bomb on Myles Garrett which is why Garrett smacked him in the head with a helmet. she promotes anti-vaxx bullshit. She implied the Jets were racist because they fired Bowles. I have heard so so so many stories and can confirm a few. But regardless I’ll go back and edit, my bad.
I promise you that you’ve jumped out of your seat cheering for the person I directly heard one of the many stories from because he did it in green and white. If you follow the course of her career and what teams she magically started getting scoops from it’s not hard to figure out which player this is. Yeah. That video is why I think Jets and Rodgers are on the same page. And it is the Packers compensation and salary expectations from Jets holding things up. We got Rodgers, hold your ground JD.
