Overpriced? The guy who played for 1.5mm for a run with the Rams? That guy? The guy who’s expressed interest in playing with Rodgers? The guy who misses NYC? That guy? Sure let’s talk about LBs…. How much more money to you want to put into the LB core? We already have like 10% of the cap invested with CJ. I think anyone other than Bakhtiari would be a surprise big name signing. Just like everyone else, I assume we’re taking 2 OL in the draft…. yawn. Yeah FA LBs and OL.
Right because a team can have so much success with one linebacker. And if you think for a second that OBJ is taking that little money in a new contract then we have nothing more to talk about. He played for the Giants, not the Jets, and the Giants have a bigger need for him than we do
Spotrac has OBJs market price (13/year or 2/26) higher than Lazard, Jakobi Meyers, and DJ Chark. I'm fine with OBJ, but not at that price. I would be more interested in throwing a future pick at someone like Hopkins.
@KingRoach I like the idea of OBJ. Makes sense for both sides. I was thinking AR might want Lazard here.

We know he definitely wants Cobb and while I wouldn’t be mad at signing Lazard imo 1. He’s going to want to chase the bag over the ring. He hasn’t had a big contract yet and imo he’s going to want one. 2. Brining over 2 WRs might make our new qb look like a a diva… we might not want that.

If Rodgers comes here, I bet Randall Cobb will follow and he'd be a logical replacement for Berrios. I think he has some return experience too, but maybe that'll be Zonovan Knight's role in 23'. Not that I think they need to replace Berrios though. I think Jeff Smith and Denzel Mims are great depth. If anything, it would be another impact WR to upgrade Corey Davis.
Cobb has seemed to be pretty washed up to me. Jets don't need a 33 year old slot WR who hasn't had more than 40 catches in a season in the past 3.
Thielen set to hit FA now. Could see the Jets being interested but he'll have a decent market so might be too expensive.
He's had 3 or 4. If you do a search on Thielen concussion you'll find them. As you age the effects of past concussions wear on you heavily.
