Considering how hot Douglas's seat is I have to think he believes the Jets can still land Rodgers. They better get him at this point because plan B; Brissett or Garoppolo is less than thrilling.
Only the Jets, only the Jets. So we will continue to ride the roller-coaster that is shopping for a QB. I just don't understand how this happens year after year. We would have been set for the next 5÷ years with Carr.
If it's true the Jets are sitting around waiting for Aaron Rodgers while he's being so indecisive though apparently 'not wanting to drag this out', definitely makes me resent him. If they couldn't move on Carr because Rodgers wasn't saying anything, that sucks. And it will really suck if he decides to stay in GB or retire. Because then it's probably Jimmy G or Jacoby Brissett, which would both be upgrades by the way, but very disappointing results to get a higher level QB on a team ready to compete with one now
I'd rather give Mike F'n White the Steve Austin treatment this offseason.... C'mon Woody, bust out some of those trust fund dollahs!
This is where I’m at. I’ve been numb to pretty much all things jet related since the day we hired Adam Gase. But somehow today I’m really fucking bummed. Doesn’t matter how good things have been going, there is no situation outside of hoisting the Lombardi where a Jets fan should feel confident. So now we turn our attention to an attention seeking, 911 conspiracy promoting, anti-VAX, sociopath who gives us a two-year window at best. Another great day to be a Jets fan.
In typical Jets fashion, the drama follows us. Rodgers or bust now, I anticipate Rodgers retiring and we are fucked
Whose asking price is reportedly an absurd $45mil. I'd honestly consider him if his cost was more reasonable, but I think he'll end up back with the Giants
It's because 12 hours ago it seemed like a near certainty we'd land either Rodgers or Carr. Now our hopes hinge on a dude who is essentially a cartoon character and maybe the most temperamental QB in the NFL
I was starting to envision Carr as a Jets qb, he must have decided a dome is better for him. Also that division isn't great right now
New path forward, trade for Rodgers but keep 13th pick and draft Anthony Richardson or trade for Lamar. This is the way.
I don't get it. Was it the money? I mean, do the Saints really have the roster depth of talent that the Jets have, especially when considering youth?
Trading for Lamar is the worst possible option. I would rather sign Jimmy or Brissett. For as long as Lamar wants a fully guaranteed 9 figure contract and we have to give up multiple first rounders to get him, it’s the worst possible option.
Dude probably just wanted to get a deal done, so he's not left alone with his dick in his hand..... like the JETS are now
I think Carr got tired of us waiting on Rodgers. Can't blame him. Never feels good to be viewed as Option B.
