The Rangers have no answer to a Goon squad at this point. You can pump your guys up and get them to play a bit more physically but when the really chippy players start causing problems there's no real answer on the roster right now.

It’s not a mandate on you have to have X amount of defenseman and forwards; 12/6 is what every team uses. 3 forwards per line, 2 defenseman per pair. the rangers only have 5 available defenseman tonight (lindy hurt and miller suspension) and do not have the cap space to call up a 6th

Overreaction much? The Rangers have been playing with 5 defensemen for the last 4 games, this one coming on a back to back. No Lindgren and no Miller means your LHD are Ben Harpur and Mikkola. Motte went down early and the Rangers yet again played with 11 forwards. Pump the brakes. The Rangers are basically locked into playing the Devils in the first round. Home ice really doesn’t matter. It’s load management time baby!
