Reason shall prevail! If you're a teen girl then i get this post. Otherwise you're an idiot. Sign the man. Keep the draft assests.
To quote your idiotic comment: Unless you have specific information otherwise you have zero clue he’s only visiting to boost his offers elsewhere. I’m sure they’re bringing him in for a couple days long visit just to give him one offer and no negotiations after. Your comment might have been the most moronic thing I’ve read this off-season. Try harder.
What other team is interested in him that offers him a better chance of winning? Do you think the Saints are a better team? The Panthers? Washington? Point is, if he wants to win, he’s not going to find a team in better position than us
I think we are a tough situation. Ny with the pressure and the media, this team with the history. I agree, team wise
Because the only thing worse than drafting a bust is signing a mediocre QB to a massive contract for multiple years. Being better than Zach is meaningless. I want a franchise QB or a Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers is the only QB with potential to bring us a Super Bowl and only ties us down for 2 years. Our future is in a draft, not Derek fucking Carr.
That is a great Pro-Carr stat. How many times did the Jets give up more than 26 pts last year? 3 times.
In a vacuum, yes. But football is one sport where all these stats don't apply well. How many points were scored in "garbage time" when other team is playing soft? Something to think about; FTR, I have no idea, just playing devil's advocate...
Carr is much more palatable as a 1 year stop gap now that they don’t have to trade for him and pay him $35 mil. They should still draft a QB though.
They are not signing to be a one year stop gap. From a Bills point of view, adding Carr can't be a positive. The Jets beat them with Zach Wilson at QB and then played a pretty competitive game on the road with Mike White as the QB. Carr is much much better than either of those guys. Adding Carr makes the division much tougher for you guys.
If the jets are not adding Carr as a stop gap that would be a major, major mistake. I argued in another thread it would set the franchise back years. He’s a proven loser. You’d make the playoffs and maybe win a game, but you’re guaranteeing no franchise qb and no Super Bowl as long as he’s starting. I would sign him for this year while I draft and develop a guy, but that’s it.
Now you know the Jets history about developing QB's yet you post this? I would argue that the worst scenario for the Bills would be the Jets signing Carr who goes on to become our Tom Brady in his prime years. the last thing the Bills want to see is another good QB in the AFCE.
How is he a proven loser? He's been on some really bad Raider teams. He's only played in 1 playoff game in his career. I'm sure Buffalo fans would love to see the Jets keep tripping over their dick trying to develop a QB. But the way this team is now, adding Carr would make them a pick'em for the division. You know it and so does the rest of the Buffalo fans. Shit, any competent QB make the Jets a yearly division contender. That's not to say they don't need to address other areas, but so does every team in the AFC East. By the way, how many division titles would the Bills have if the were in the AFC West?
