Whatever works for you, JV - as if I care what you think about who "dislikes" me; boo hoo. I've called you out so many times on the BS you post, it's no wonder you always want to take it away from the topic and make it personal. Wouldn't it be easier to just cut out the BS?
What's really sad is we have people here who have so little integrity that they will constantly post lies if they believe it advances their position or opinion.
True but Carr gives them the best shot to win now and I’ve heard rumors that a FQB under contract can get a kings ransom (if ZW does develop and the Jets decide to move on from DC in 2/3 years). IMO - priority 1. AR 2. DC 3. T 4. JG 5. FML
Wow. We might have found the first perfect post in this thread. You can lock it up now. Nothing left to cover.
I'd personally flip options 1 and 2 here but I also want to add that once we get past those top 2 options, I think it becomes highly likely we draft another QB on Day 1 or Day 2 within the next 2 years.
This is probably the best reason for him. He is good enough to take the Jets to the playoffs and will be here for 4+ years. That should be long enough to either get a guy to develop or move up in the draft and get his replacement.
RB, I warned you about this before. JV is nothing but class in this thread. You, one more time, are looking for arguments. You can't reply on this thread for 3 days as I initiated a Reply Ban for you for this thread.
I appreciate you giving the numbers, I can’t argue with that comparison with Stafford’s first 7 or 8 years. That said I stand by the fact Carr is exceedingly average. He had one above avg year and the rest are just meh. You can win some games and maybe sneak a couple playoff appearances with a quick exit with him. You wanna sign him because he’s better than what we have, sure that’s cool. But we’re gonna be stuck with him for 6 years, and I’m betting by year 3 we’re going to be wishing we could get out of it.
So he visited the Saints for two days, the Saints are now clearing money and reports came out that only the Saints and Jets bothered talking to the Raiders with the Jets talks going nowhere. I think we know where Carr is going. Although if I were him I'd be knocking on Carolina's door before they even called me.
Really, the jets need to go all in on Carr. He may not want to come here, but they need to pull out all stops. No cost but salary. How can you not try to get him?
Have to give him a legitimate look. Banking on Rodgers is asking for another year with Zach getting meaningful snaps. Make Carr a competitive offer and if he goes to the NFC South, at least you tried. The Jets aren't as attractive as some of those NFC South options. Better weather, lower taxes, lesser competition. Garappolo and even Tannehill are fine fallback options.
Agree completely with your statement. The 100% commitment to Zach is for his hopeful development not as a starter this year. I would take JG over Tannehill on the priority list.
What is really sad is that what you just posted is a perfect no substance reflection of how you come across in your argumentative threads.
