Would probably be worse of a circus than it has been over the course of the Johnson ownership. But trying something different, at this point is probably in the cards.
As much as a tool as the guy can be, at least it would be someone that earned what they got in life. It is a completely different mindset. Mark Cuban is insufferable, but his team is always competitive and trying to get better.
On the one hand, he's a self-made man who cares about the Jets. On the other hand, he's a bit of a con man, and while you can con your way to money, you can't con your way to wins in the NFL. I'd still take him over Woody though.
Gary V would be like Jerry Jones and Jim Irsay as an owner. Take that for what you will, as there are Pro's and Con's to that.
Gary V is a motivational speaker who got his jump in life by talking about wine online. Lifelong Jets fan. He would never be an owner like Jerry Jones, he’d be an owner more like Magic Johnson and the Lakers aka 4% minority owner.
I knew Gary back when we were in elementary school. He has been a diehard Jets fan dating as far back as then. His family owned a large liquor store and he made millions pioneering selling wine over the internet. He parlayed that internet sales expertise into making even more money teaching other businesses how to market on the internet. He was always a nice kid.
Sowell Train, but they're cousins, not brothers. I have sick recall. EDIT: jtuds posted that thread 'Oh, no, it's HIM' because Sowell Train used to post videos here with his analysis of the Jets and ask the board/folks what they thought. I think the kid's name was Vince or something like that, but the thread I just mentioned was because it was Sowell Train at the draft with his cousin Gary.
