Guys, are we watching the same games? Both tackles stunk worse than any other starters in NFL, guards were terrible, and even C played bad at the end. No run game at all, QB under pressure all the time, lost best QB twice on hits. And line is not very weak? Come on, let's be reasonable here. The line was utter atrocious historically bad garbage, and this is putting it mildly.
You’re right!! Those tackles and guards would be 3rd string on any other team. Shit, they were 3rd string on our team.
I don’t comment too much during the season but now when it comes to potential prospects I’ll be giving my take on prospects that we have a shot at with the 13th spot
What are your thoughts on these two? Ocyrus Torrence and Peter Skoronski. I linked them each to a page. Torrence is a bull in the middle and should be there at 13. Now Skoronski is supposed to go earlier but i think his arms and Paris Johnsons athletic profile will drop Skoronski as Johnson rises.Meaning i think we could get him there too. What other positions do you think we should address early? i stil think we need another wr maybe around round three. I would love to add a dlineman like dylan horton or keion smith to play the role that Saleh had Arik Armstead in in SF. And our linebackers arent horrible but if we could get a stud there i think it helps the defense. Mosely is getting up there and losing a step and he is over paid
Skoronski might be overmatched at the NFL level due to the longer faster pass rushers he will wind up against. I wonder if he's a good candidate for conversion to C? Seems like the things that would handicap him on the edge would be strengths in the middle.
Welcome to the board. Check out our Draft Forum if you want to talk Draft https://forums.theganggreen.com/forums/draft.34/
If Jaxon Smith is there we can’t pass on him. OL will be an option for sure as well but I just can’t see us passing on JSN. He’s a perfect fit for us.
Just read that the Jets may go WR again in the first and guess where from? Ohio State again. Jaxon Smith-Njigba. I'm all in on getting this offense rolling. We've seen defensive players drafted high for like a decade. With this guy Wilson, Moore, and possibly Mims ( who might benefit the most from the upgrade @ OC) They also have the Jets looking at a TCU WR Quinten Johnson. 6'4 215 with 4.4 speed.
The best way to "get the offense rolling" is to fix the OL once and for all. Unless they do that, the offense remains stuck in Neutral.
What about Parker Washington? Is he too much like Moore. I like this take on him https://www.draftdive.com/parker-washington-scouting-report/
