Yeah I mean Jerick McKinnon had 10 Touchdowns and nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards. He never gets talked about, he's just a guy for them. That would lead this team in production great post
Garrett Wilson w/o Zach Wilson Targets: 11.25 Catches: 6.13 Receiving yards: 81.13 TDs: 0.5 17-game pace 191.25 targets (WR1) 104.21 catches (WR6) 1,379.21 receiving yards (WR6) 8.5 TDs (WR8) You do realize we have a superstar in Garret Wilson, right? He is one Aaron Rodgers away from being in the Diggs, Chase, and Justin Jefferson class. Breece Hall was top 5 in MVP odds before he got hurt, as a RB.
G Wilson is a very nice player, I am not saying he isn't. He's not Stefon Diggs or Ja'marr Chase yet though
The Jets defense is in no way better than the Bengals. They might have the best defensive coordinator in football right now. I get that the regular season stats make the Jets look better, but in reality as good as the Jets defense was, teams played a lot more conservatively against our dogshit offense than teams can play against the Bengals. PPG and QB rating was very similar between us and them. The other two, I agree with.
With the way Aaron Rodgers played last season, you sure that the hill you want to stand on? You put him In that exact situation, with that offensive line... I don't think It's as good as you think. I think we might make the playoffs If he was here, definitely don't think we would be Super Bowl bound.
Yeah, I'm firmly on that hill. For a guy that thinks Zach Wilson shouldn't even start for a HS football team, you seem to diminish his contribution to those losses (as well as Mike White.) The Jets are a playoff team and a dangerous one at that with Rodgers this past season. You can't have it both ways.
26 passing touchdowns to 12 interceptions on 64% completion with a broken thumb versus the Jets who had 15:14 on 56%? Dude it’s not even a comparison. We’re 11-6 without issue last year if Rodgers is here and even more upside from there.
You want to compare Rogers with Zach Wilson??? If we won 7 games with Zach & Co., then how many would we have won with Rodgers? And if you only say a few more than maybe Wilson wasn't the problem you think he was.
I would take Rodgers. It would be our best shot in decades. He also would be on a team where he wouldn't be asked to carry the load. Defense can carry the load. Would just need up to make plays here and there.
Oh please. Wilson is not a just nice player but an absolute great player with a spectacular rookie performance and no freaking QB. Neither one of those two mentioned would have survived the year in NY. Next year, if we get someone that remotely resembles the likes of Josh or Joe he will be every bit as good as Diggs. If he played in Cincinnati he will rapidly approach Chase level.
this the mercs model is n ot my fave and winning the SB WOULD be less if we get there that way. (for me)
This Isn't the GB Packers, their roster, their coaches... Again. We may have made the playoffs, we def weren't Super Bowl bound. It's hypothetical though, just my opinion.
That’s OK. I’d like to get to the divisional round before 2046. This past Jets team, with a real quarterback, was dangerous to play in the playoffs because they generate front four pressure with an All-Pro on the backend. Next year is no different. If they can manage to trade a first for Rodgers, sign a tackle, draft a guard and retain McGovern, we should have relatively the same team minus a shitty Corey Davis or an overrated Carl Lawson there.
The comparison Isn't the QB's. I know Zach Wilson Is dog shit, I have before most on this forum. The problem Is the situation for me. You bring Rodgers over here, who had a down year there, I don't think It transfers over the way you think. We are not The Green Bay Packers. They have a lot of proven things going for them, we don't. I understand AR Is far and away better, I also understand that one player will not automatically take us to the Super Bowl. There are other factors that need to happen In order to achieve that. The Green Bay Packers have been much better than us for how long now? In those years with Aaron Rodgers as QB, and all the good teams he's been on for GB, how many Super Bowls did he win there? ..but, now I'm supposed to believe that If he came here, to this shit show of a team, we would've won the Super Bowl? Riiiiiiiiight...
thats a SHIT catch rate fwiw i DO LIKE GW. that rate is a concern to me, tho and that he doesnt make contested catches
