I think he’s got good football left in him. He’s definitely not the guy he was but he can play. He was stuck with some real shit around him and that would be an upgrade here but not if he can’t get the ball where it needs to be. Unfortunately he’s our best shot at a title so we have to eat the shit and deal with declining play and 9/11 conspiracies amidst the highlights.
How f-ed is this team going to be if they wait until June and Rodgers doesn’t come here? By then all the FA QB aren’t gonna be available.
They can agree to a trade long before that just can't finalize it till February. Some people say June 1st because it allows them to split the dead money over 2 years but others believe that they would prefer to take it all in one shot and have a true rebuilding year.
Was debating with a friend about this. What do people think/is being speculated would it cost to acquire him theoretically?
Maybe I'm not being realistic, but a 1st round pick for a QB with his contract turning 40 this season not coming off his best a year (a good year albeit) seems steep to me. Also, if GB wants to trade him, how big of a market will they have? I've heard they wouldn't trade him within the NFC and only a few teams in the AFC would make any sense
Yep.. Embrace the Suck.. I suppose queer theories about vaccines are better than eyeliner and a warm weather QB. Yes.. it has come to this in JetWorld.
These are the kind of things that happen when you miss on your franchise QB draft pick. Fortunately, however, the team is in good position to compete with competent QB play IMO.

I think we will have to give 2nd this year. I would prefer 3d, but this may not be realistic, unless JD does some magic. #13 to me is out of the question. So second this year seems solid. As far as 1st next year, I think just him playing is not enough. Maybe it will be 3d if he plays, 2nd if we make play-offs, and if we make SB or AFC finals it will be 1st. Something like that. We have to remember that Rodgers is old and overpaid. He is getting paid like MVP, and he is no longer that and might actually decline further. Just the CAP hit alone over 4 years is incredibly big. Also, it's a two year contract. I don't see JD including a 1st rounder at all unless we make SB or at worst AFC finals.
His cap hit is 15mill this year, why does everyone act like he will destroy our cap if he comes here. What does Mahomes, Watson make? 40 or 50 mill a year. So confusing...
It’s not ‘23 that is the issue — it’s the option to take next years hit and break up over 24, 25, and 26. When (most likely) he won’t even be here in 25/26
I have always been a AR hater. I think he’s overrated & he likes to pad his stats. This is a tough1 man. One of my gd friends is a packers fan. Over the years we have gone back & forth about him. I still think he’s overrated.
